It wasn't on the bridge. That would have been cinematic but it was only in the car park. On the other hand the fact that a bus load of women from the Women's Institute saw the fight added to the spectacle.
You'll be upset because we lose people who make a totally irrational decision that defies all logic? Practically everybody was against the decision. They made a good decision when they took advice to get Steve Bruce. They seem to have come up with this idea totally alone. All they have to do now is accept that they dont understand football and take advice from sensible independent thinkers.
People mention pro name changers . I don't know anyone that wanted the name change . Let's hope the idea is now dead and burried . I hope the Allams stay .. But if they don't.....big deal. Hope we can all get back to the footy stuff Now..... We are staying up And we will be in the cup final in May. Great stuff
The problem with this argument is that lots of other teams use it, so anyone representing football decision making wouldn't really like to agree with that I would have thought.
People ranting about it Macca ? Fa say NO. they should accept it. Any one ranting about what the fa have decided isn't right in the head. Allam family need to accept it and either carry on Or walk. I hope they stay... But if the go.....big deal ... Right tea time Hope all the in fighting / arguing can stop now. At least my HULL City tattooes are still valid
there clearly is NO support for YES to a name change , only support for the Allams having the "right" to do what they see fit for the good of the club . That is the opinion of a lot of people , not sure why people get so flustered by it on here As it clearly isnt the right kind of endorsement the FA would consider. and any Allam poll would reflect this
He's brought this on himself. If he had not tried to steam-roller the FA and his club's customers with ill thought out threats and a total disrespect for them as bodies with a voice and done things by the book, then this whole thing would never have got to the point now, where he has to make a choice to either show some contrition or carry out one of his threats and do one. Through his business acumen thus far, he has a football club that is well placed amongst its peers, that may well make a profit next season. It's in the semi-final of the countries premier cup competition with a more than good chance of entering European competition for the first time in its history. He has possibly the most respected English manager in the country and has done this by taking some external advice. The result is, that through some good management, he has a more saleable asset than when he walked in and picked us up off the floor. That's good business. Success in the league and cups = exposure = TV revenue = increased commercial activities, and ALL achieved as Hull City. Now, for the sake of a couple of million quid to be raised by whoring the name of the club, he is prepared to walk away. Is this the fabled 'classic marketing' he believes in? He's been good for us, no doubt about it, but he might have to go to save face, which will be lacking a nose. It's all been so totally unnecessary.
I expect another mindless interview from the Allams on Friday. It's good news. Let's go stay up and get to the cup final.
Ps Best thing about this is no one will feel they have to stop going . That really is the best thing.
I may have shouted at my laptop while listening. I was on the train as well. Thankfully the carriage was near empty.
