Interesting that their badge contains a lie in the heart of it. No sailing ship of that size or rig ever sailed into Manchester for the simple reason that it couldn't sail up the ship canal!
It's nice to know they thought of us when they made their crest though; they thought long and hard about something they could possibly best us at.. and it ended up being how far down the canal a ship would sail.
You realise that you weren't always playing in red? Under the name "Manchester United" United have always worn red. Get over it.
what a ***** what has red got to do with it. this was our crest in the 1940's and ye adopted it in the 60's as you say get over it. ye copied the greatest teams crest
You adopted our colours... Didn't realise scousers needed it spelling out that much. Yes, as I said... Get over it. And seriously, "*****"? Is that what counts as a clever insult in merseyside?
They also claim to be the ''real reds''.However thats not the case as there is several clubs that wear red. However Liverpool have always been ''The Reds''. Manchester United-The Red Devils. Arsenal-The Gunners. Nottingham Forest-Forest. Charlton Athletic-The Addicks.
They say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery The Steven Gerrard thread is a weird one. Have you read it? It get's off topic quickly into the thread and there's posters on it that i've never seen post anywhere else, it confuses and scares me :'( Thus i have never ventured onto there to post.
The irony of it all. Utd fans are ridiculed for coming onto the Liverpool board and told they are obsessed with Liverpool, yet a Liverpool fan goes and creates a thread with the title manc obsession.
I think they use it to chat instead of the chat box. I wish they'd just post more threads. I spend more time on here than i do there because ive read everything
