I went to Everton on Saturday and if some of the chants being used there are anything to go by I fear the worst for the rebrand protest. For the majority of fans at Everton it seems it's not about the shirt colour, but about abusing Vincent Tan.
I think it's probably fair to say that many of the people who sang the 'we love Malky' song realised that he had to go (and in the end were not unhappy to see the back of him) - but they sang it anyway in a sort of group anti-Tan frenzy. That was ok, I like blue as well, but I think what was sung at Everton - and what will be sung by far too many on Saturday - is over the top, and makes you realise it is not just about the shirt colour. There are other agendas for many fans.

There should be one agenda only at this time: -

Support the team on the pitch

    Anything else is counter productive.

Have the anti-Tan brigade actually got a clue?

If he walks, 2 things happen: -

    1. He demands repayment of the loans he has in the club. Can the club repay those?
    2. He stops drip feeding cashflow to support the day to day existence of the club. Can the club continue paying players and staff and creditors?

Either or both of those events see the club in dire financial straits and likely to follow on the footsteps of Pompey, or even worse, do a Welsh equivalent of Rangers.

Are they so small minded that they want to see the failure and demise of the club they apparently hold so dear?

Nice to see the huge effort they are making for their March.

    From City Hall? No.

    From Cardiff Castle? No.

From Cardiff General/Central Bus Station? No.

Not even from the Prince of Wales Wetherspoons.

Their great trek starts at the Admiral Napier in Canton. A march of all of, what 800 yards maximum!!!!

Guaranteed to attract loads of hobbledyhoys, ne'er do wells and others subject to banning orders so they can't get in the ground anyway and are probably breaking their orders by going anywhere near the ground on a match day.

What a great way to spoil what should be a terrific day and top class game against the form side of the league. <doh>

Before the pro-blues start ranting at me, I would have no problem returning to blue but they need to realise there is a long game to this and simply playing Big Billy Bollocks with VT can only bring an unsatisfactory outcome for all.

Gone to a lot of trouble to denigrate a lot of fans who really care about the club and it's traditions there blue. He will **** on this club sooner or later and you will probably blame those who actually tried to get him to compromise. Horses for courses as they say.

We need Tan more than he needs us - like BFB says fans with different agendas, probably the same one's who want Sam the scam back at the club.

Why will he **** on the club if he's hounded out? The guy can't win can he! He puts in millions and gets us to the premier league, a vocal minority, yes minority, bitch and moan, call him vile names, make up abusive songs, send death threats, abuse his family and he will **** on the club!

    Grow up for ****s sake.

<laugh> Sam is another Tan crony. You support Tan you support Sam, he employed him.

You seem selective in which stories you believe and which you don't. Google eh! <laugh>

Nothing to do with google, saw the other message boards and I read different papers and news reports.
So you're saying nothing like that happened, rose tinted glasses I think.

Please try to see the wood for the trees. There is a much bigger picture here than just the short term colour/get VT out views.

If he gets so pee'd off by the protests that he throws his toys out of the pram and clears off, do we have a queue of billion...no, even millionaires waiting to put their hands in their pockets to take over? In those circumstances there can be only one outcome and to me and many others that would be a disaster.

Someone drew the best route out for Tan and the club in a thread last week (aplogies I can't remember who). Either stay in Prem or go down to Championship but continue investing to get us back to the Prem again. Then look to sell his interests (shares or loans) on the Far Eastern markets so he can recoup his investment and even make a profit. After all he is a business man and that is what business is about.

A quick win with the fans for the new owner - change back to blue. However, be careful what you wish for. There are many people with money out there who are more devious and less scrupulous than VT. Carsen Yeung or the eastern Europeans who bought into Pompey anyone? Or even those who took over Leeds and have put very little into the club.

We are at a very finely balanced stage both on and off the pitch. We could easily get relegated but can survive that with VT's support.

Please let me have your thoughts on what would happen to the club if VT walked. I can't see any of the Blue/VT Out supporters have painted that picture.

Tan has walked away from Cardiff City today. Must be true as I just said it on a message board.

    See what I mean.

Appreciate your civilised comments. <ok> As far as I'm aware the march is simply a peaceful show of feeling about the yearning for a return to our traditional colours. Officially, Tan critisism isn't on the agenda for the march. Of course there are rogue elements to any protest. <ok>

    No problem ITI. <ok>

I hope it all happens as you suggest. It is a little sad that is has the potential to spoil what should be a great occasion on Saturday. Lets hope the protesters keep it civilised.

Tan has tickled every supporters belly's with a wad of cash. Very hard subject to touch on with so many different points of view. Everyone is entitled to their opinion whether you be a supporter of tan or a protester. If Tan gets pissed off enough, he WILL leave and yes, it will leave Cardiff City in a whole lot of s**t! My opinion matters not, I do have my opinions on Tan but have learnt to keep them to myself

As I've said before our club post Tan is an unknown quantity.

No one actual knows if getting rid of him changes the shirt colour, it probably would but if another far east investor did come in they might choose to keep red.

The Portsmouth scenario is the one everyone wishing for Tan out at whatever cost should be scared of imo. The parachute payments mean there is 3 years of income that can be pocketed by the wrong investor.

To be fair most investors will be looking at a club that has had £140m spent on stabilising from the brink of oblivion and gaining PL status. The owner who has delivered this is receiving death threats and having their family abused. I'm sure we'll have a queue from here back to Malaysia of billionaires looking to sign up for that ****!
The racism that has crept into our stand about Tan and Kimbo is a disgrace and embarrasses the club, although it is only from a couple of individuals.

A tiny minority sending death threats though mate. Come off it, anyone with half a brain wouldn't be that stupid. Anyone in the public eye recieves threats on a daily basis as stupid and idiotic as it is.

I know it's easier said than done Steve but report them quietly to the stewards. Put the monkey on the club's back and make them deal with it.

I recall back at Ninian where an idiot on the Bob Bank Terrace was hurling racists abuse and, of course, the Mike Dean coin thrower v. the Swans. Both were identifed and dealt with.

I think twitter in particular has really opened up the channels for those morons though. I don't know the numbers received but 1 is 1 too many in the name of 'our support'.

Wasn't it his niece (remember it being a young female family member) receiving loads of abuse of abuse via twitter? I was gutted when I heard that story.

It's 'moderate' rather than extreme racism (if there's such a thing) but it leaves quite a few around me shaking their heads. It's always from behind us and if I'm honest I'd struggle to identify the odd 1 or 2 involved. More worried about the idiot who wants to fight everyone sat in front of us, if I was going to report anyone tbf.

I heard the girl was not even related. She called him uncle as a term of endearment. Those responsible should be dealt with through the law nevertheless. That way the truth will be reported.
