A friend of mine has said he can get me tickets for our game on Saturday but I'll be sat with the Cardiff fans. I've been in with the away fans more than I have with Liverpool fans so I'm used to it and Im always respectful of the fact I'm in with opposition supporters. Looking forward to the game, I hope we smash you but also hope you stay up. Hope it's a good game.
That's exactly what I meant............. Mind you, if you did wear your scouser shirt, there's enough short-sighted bastards in the home crowd not to notice.....
I genuinely don't think you would get much stick these days.. Our fans don't seem to care about anything other than chanting abuse at Vincent Tan or how much we will always be blue.. Hope you enjoy the day either way
Cheers, I went to watch you lot at Wembley in the play off final v Blackpool (won tickets) bad result but had a good day. This could be a difficult game for us with you lot fighting to stay up, we'll really need to be on form.
I think you're so much better than that these days. Just hoping we put in a decent account of ourselves and don't get smashed. I'd accept keeping a bit of confidence with a narrow loss as your front players could very easily run a cricket score past our '2nd worst in the league' defence. Football does produce freak results, but the best attack in the league v the 2nd worst defence will play to form 99% of the time.
It will be another of those days that we all looked forward to when we won promotion last year. A full house, 2 very vocal sets of fans and should be a great occasion. With the stats Steve quoted above its all set for the form book to be turned upside down. Well I can dream can't I?
Be interested to see your prediction then Blue...another 2-1 or 3-1? Jammy bugger, I was robbed again!
I know what you mean but I can't afford to go to Anfield often so I wont turn them down. I've lived all round the country and have been to watch Liverpool away in with the away fans more than I've been to Anfield as there's always a local who'll get tickets.
Sorry Dai - don't quite understand that unless of course it deprives a home supporter of the seat. Things have changed so much regarding where everyone sits (stands in those days) - and not for the better. When I was based at Stafford CAT in the late 70's, I palled up with some local Port Vale lads (they absolutely HATED Stoke ) and can remember walking in loads of times into the Hamil End at Vale Park with them alongside supporters from the visiting club. Supporters of both clubs all stood together on that vast windswept open terracing getting soaked to the bloody skin and enjoyed (or not!) the game with only the mildest of animosity between us. Yes, there was the occasional fracas admittedly, but nothing like the tribal warfare that plagues much of the game these days. It comes to something now when you have to feign allegiancies to watch a bloody game of football for fear of being verbally abused at best - and often worse.
Sparkey, I'm one of the first to welcome that fact you can now talk with away supporters in the local pubs or restaurants, I even had a good chat with a Jack in KFC. But in my opinion home seats are for home supporters, find it strange that Manu and Liverpool supporters always find a way to get in, most from South Wales too.
Can understand that Dai. Like I said, if it deprives local supporters of a seat, it's not on, but that assumes it'll be full house for every game - this one obviously will.
Can't be hypocritical, most of the games I see are away and I always sit with the opposition fans. Didn't stop me jumping up and celebrating our equaliser on Saturday.
