Good Morning one and all from an overcast Southampton

    How are we?

Sounds like the lads put in a better shift on Saturday, and were unlucky to lose against little Burnley.

I know size isn't everything (or so Glory tells us), when we you look at the size of Leeds, and the size of Burnley, even when you compare crowd attendances, it is very much a David and Goliath situation.

How is it that a team that size can be in the position it is in, to get automatically promoted for the second time in five years when we are hemorrhaging money out of every corner.

The Cagliari fans had a protest against Cellino at the weekend. They think he has hung them out to dry, and are a bit miffed about being described as a fiat 500, whereas Leeds are a Ferrari.

Ross McCormack lost out to Burnley’s Danny Ings in the Championship’s Player of the Year award last night. Thoughts?

Finally, I was speaking to Thombob on twitter the other day, and even though he comes on to read the posts, he no longer contributes as he felt that there was sometimes a lot of negativity.
It is a real shame, as he was a great poster. As I said he'll probably be reading this.

Morning Elland. A bit unlucky at the weekend I thought, & so much better than the last two weeks. Play like that against the 'Wall this weekend and we should see 3 solid points & a few goals.

As to why Burnley are doing so much better, put it down to two things; team stability and a decent Manager. They've had more or less the same team and Manager for at least the last couple of seasons, save a few incomers. We've had Managerial and ownership change for the last two or three years. Where's the consistency? That's why I say, for heavens sake let's get the take over done and give BMD chance to show what he can do. There'll be a big clear out at the end of this season. So let's give BMD & Cellino the chance to sort out the mess left by Warnock and Bates.

Morning Boggers, are you saying we should have tried to make it work with Collins, O'Dea and O'Brien

Morning all, how many of the FL's 10 days remain?

Agree with Boggers about stability and consistent team building. You need players you'd want next to you if you were in the trenches, not overpaid has beens at the end of their careers

Whether we'll get it with big C is another matter, and despite speaking up for BM it bothers me his signings are so hit and miss

Hits (for me) are Murphy, Smith, Butland and Wickham loans
    Misses are Stewart, Kebe, Hunt
The other hits are not selling Sam and Ross ( and giving Millwall the benefit of the services of the best striker in the league:) )
Have I missed anyone important? Because when I write that down it does not seem as bad as I thought it had been, in fact if one of Kebe/Stewart had turned out well it would have been pretty good

    Morning 2020

Wooton for 1m, and bearing in mind Murphy cost us 1m, is it really a hit?

Wonder what Grayson would have done with the money?

Morning all. Happy st bods day all. No negativity so here we go. McD is the way forward, this has been a good season and we have some real gems in the squad who after the muli million takeover this week will begin to give 110% commitment in every game. The signs have been there with performances improving in every game. Two signings in the summer and well be set for autos next year

Elland, I think the biggest problem with Collins, O'Dea & O'Brien was there constant changes. That said, we've certainly moved on from them. Bit unlucky with the OG at the weekend, but their forward may well have scored anyway. Pity we didn't cut out the cross in the first place.

The way things are going, I don't think we'll be retaining Kebe or Stewart for next season. Both look as though they might do something, but I think it's taking too long for them to show form. Hunt will go as soon as we get a new signing for next season confirmed (please make it Wickham!!). And Agent Morison will go back to a desk job at Thames House having done a fine job under cover in deepest darkest Deptford.

Oh and Happy Paddy's Day one and all.

Good news from the Football League Awards:

"Meanwhile, Capital One Supporter of the Year was 61-year-old Phil Beeton who will soon be watching his 2,000th Leeds United game."

As I recall, O'Dea was also played out of position many times.

Eire, put down the guinness, leave the Baileys alone and stop singing the Fields of Athenrye. Rejoin the world of reality please.

Having said that, I also think it won't take much to turn us from alsoran to auto promotion prospects. There will be a big clear out. But the nucleus is there. It would be great if we could sign Wickham. I also think it would be interesting to see how far Dawson is from the first team. If he's almost there, then a 3 month loan to get regular first team footy would be a good move. If somehow we can get Butland as well, we can say farewell to Kenny. Not sure after that, how many we would need. Maybe a couple.

But this is the week when we start the long march back to the PL. It begins with the T/O. We then hammer the 'Wall and all those attending the Not meet up have a collective good time. We then end the season on a high with a number of good result, & then push on next season to autos and world domination. That and Moyes remains in charge of u no hoo & we hammer then at home in the FA Cup next season. In Brian we trust. MOT

Not sure if that's a compliment on not Eire. But for the purposes of debate, I'll say it probably was. So cheers.

Theres a lot of that around Paddys Day, people suddenly finding Irish roots. The Yanks are amazing at it. Go back five generations, find a relative that once visited Ireland and the whole family becomes Irish. We don't mind though, were a very welcoming bunch, most of the time

I don't come here much but thought you all should read this article in the YEP today.
There's an interesting comment which says it took Revie 3 years to get Leeds promoted. Something I had forgotten even though I was supporting Leeds at the time. I guess we only remember the good days and forget we may have been shouting for his head when Leeds were struggling back then. My point is, it's time to give McD a chance as chopping & changing managers over the years certainly ain't worked.
