Muriel? No way, Di Natale is THE striker at Udinese, no way he plays as the out and out, more of an SS, AM, possibly a winger. Feghouli is more of a winger at Valencia but a good player too. Eduardo Vargas who is on loan at Valencia from Napoli is another who I think can play multiple positions. Still wish we would go for Banega.
Compared to Aspas & Moses? Yes, certainly. We can't afford a team is 18 superstars but United have shown throughout the years that you don't need it. You need some people who, although aren't happy at being squad players, appreciate that it is a squad game and they can be just as important as those that are playing every game. You just stated that we'd get rid of about 6 and still need to bring in 3 or 4 more on top so that's 9 new players which were being suggested. We can't afford that in transfer alone without a big sale of Suarez which no one wants, o the other alternative is to ue what we already have and then buy 3 or 4 first team players. That will then improve the first team and help improve squad depth by having current first team players on the bench, like Lucas, Allen, Sterling etc.
Muriel is a striker by most definitions I think, and Udinese play with two upfront. Whilst Banega's time is up, imo, no longer on the uptick that lad.
Eduardo Vargas on the other hand BCR could interest Rodgers as he can also take on midfielder duties. But he's not been doing well for his clubs either. Been great for Chile however.
Cuadrado? Would take Xherdan out of those. Lots of experience for one so young due to his time at Bayern. Knows big games and being part of a huge club.
It is a stange one, I like his game and his style but for some reason just not doing it on the club level but money for Chile. Milan Baros-esque!
Is he still in Brazil? If so, perhaps the ship as sailed. Always takes South Americans a few years to adjust and its usually best to go via one of the weaker European leagues before the Premier League too. Ganso must be mid-20s by now?
Yeah, very few South American's come straight to the Prem and hit the ground running. Oscar is probably the latest I can think of but even he took a season to adjust. That's why Porto are such a well run club. Those players seem to be able to adjust to Portuguese league (helps with language for the Brazilians) so can pick them up cheaply, win the league with some decent performances and then sell them on for big bucks.
Ya he is. If you can remember he was the next big thing, the next Rivaldo, him and Neymar brought Santos back to the top. The hype was huge and he just kept failing with the national team while Neymar soared. Basically ****ed him up mentally. Think he is at Sao Paulo? He went from Santos to Sao Paulo but not sure after that.
He was good mate, he was really silky with that left foot. Hernanes and him were like mirror images of each other but Ganso obviously younger. Then it just went to ****. Pato is ****ing struggling down there! Got traded, yes traded, to Sao Paulo from Corinthians for Jadson ( formerl of Shakhtar).
He's on loan. Really ****s up my transfer dealings in season 1 Shame about Pato, he looked like the next big thing but injuries problems seem to have stalled his career.
Not to mention banging Berlusconi's daughter. Ya, injuries have literally crippled him mentally. Friend of mine is a massive Sao Paulo supporter and he says that in trainings Pato never goes in to contact with anyone, will completely avoid it, as he is so afraid to get injured again. Shame. Santos have become the new hotbed with the young talent, some good new youngsters coming through the ranks at the moment.
