Vettel's problem is that he has had an unbelievable advantage on the field for the last four years while all the other drivers have been pushing and fighting and scraping for any kind of car performance they can find. Look at Vettel relative to Ricciardo. Ricciardo is pushing that car to the limit because he is comfortable doing so while Vettel looks completely out of his depth. I thought it would be interesting when Red Bull no longer had that kind of advantage but my word I can see Vettel completely falling apart this year. He's loosing his cool just like he did on the radio after he crashed into Webber in Turkey 2010

you do realise that he had a major software problem? Hard to push a car that's only got 3/4 of it's power, as to Turkey, if Webber had tried to push me off the track I would have found him in the pits and smacked him in the mouth

You'd have done that to Webber even if didn't push you off the track!

Red Bull boss Christian Horner said Vettel's frustration was understandable. "Everything he tried didn't work but he stuck around, he helped in the garage and was offering advice to the pit wall."

He's bound to be frustrated... He wants to race. I'd be more worried if he just said 'Oh well' and went home.

You really can't say that about Vettel after just one race. A true racer would angry of course when something goes wrong and he can't race..that the nature of a competitor. You have to wait to see if any pattern emerges if things consistently go wrong for him, then his true character ..good or bad...will emerge. Let's wait and see.

You'd think after 4 straight titles you'd have grown wise to the fact that Vettel is a real racer and "gets it" but apparently not. Shame.

I think you got me wrong there. I know Vettel is a real racer..there is no doubt about that. What I am saying that yes he has had four straight years of winning... But what would be his reaction of a year of not winning? Would he be the same Vettel or would you see an attitude change? Now I am not saying he will have a year of not winning. It's a question I am asking...if he had a year of not winning..DNFs and all..what character would emerge? Maybe Silver would understand my point..lol

He's obviously not going to handle it well, he's a winner, winner's hate losing, if he handles it well, then that's poor on him.

We agree on that point. If a real racer has a bad year I expect his to react strongly sometimes....if he doesn't show any emotion then he should find something else go do. And that goes for every pilot on the grid.
