He's scared mate as Routemaster (who couldnt win away V Villa) still have to come to our fortress! And he knows how lucky they were a SB One cant lie to ones self
Sturridge dived and should receive some sort of punishment from the club or FA. Regardless the other two were penalties, and we should've had two more!
True. Think he did it out of frustration, but it's still inexcusable. Referees should book players for reacting like he did. Learn from rugby.
Although I agree with the principal of what you are saying, particularly because Studge did clearly dive, what you say isn't entirely true. You see, if a defender dives in with a two lunge (worse case scenario for arguments sake) and the attacker sees it, does he stand there and get his leg snapped or try to get out the way? Jumping is usually the easiest form of escaping so lets assume the attacker jumps but losses his balance in the process. The defenders proceeds to slide through missing ball and player (but only because the other player jumped out the way). Therefore, the defender has not touched the players but the attack has lost possession through the defender being reckless and missing the ball (a freekick offence in the least). Would this not be a foul/penalty still? IE; it is entirely possibly to have a foul without the attacker being touched.
It's down to the ref to deal with during the match no need for the bloody FA to get involved all the time.
