Why didnt Gerrard celebrate his first goal? And did he get booked for insisting Rafael (hes a cheating twat he is) shoud've gone?
Think he knew there was still a lot of work to do and no, he got booked for the ariel challenge on Fellaini which wa weird a the ref didn't give it as a foul until he saw there was blood and decided to stop the game for a head injury.
Just goes to show that Fergie's intimidation of refs to give dodgy decisions was worth 15-20 points per season.
First time United had conceded a penalty at OT since December 2011.... then they go and concede another 2. Record breaking Moyes
Love re-watching on MOTD after we've won Funny watching Carrick go and moan at the ref saying Sturridge had dived when he knew he had made contact and taken his foot for what should have been the 4th pen.
Oh interesting what they said on MOTD just BR got same amount of pens at Swansea as we've had this season. Down to stye of play
When you get as many men in the box as we do and you have tricky players like Sturridge & Suarez (ignoring the diving/going down easy etc) you're likely to attract more fouls on you so will win more pens. It's like how we always say United get a load of pen at OT etc, but to be fair, they do spend a lot more time in the box than the opponents (apart from this season) so the probabilities suggest you'll get more pens.
If you have quick players, constantly darting in and out of the box your going to get fouls. Especially when those players are so quick with the ball at their feet. If you watch how both Suarez and Sturridge move the ball when they are in tight spaces it is so quick and therefore draws tackles. So yeah, certainly down to tactics/style of play. The other interesting thing on MOTD. First penalty awarded at OT since 2011. And we got three!
This was before the swansea game but some interesting stats with regards to possesion and set pieces. http://www.goal.com/en-us/news/85/e.../the-dossier-the-evolution-of-brendan-rodgers
