Top job. One question though. We seem to have been stuck at 2.1 points for a while now (although we have been on a winning streak). Can anyone check this?

We've played so many games now that the average is hovering around 2.1/2.0

A win against Cardiff will just push us up to 2.2 though <ok>

    Cardiff
    Sunderland
    Tottenham
    West Ham
    Manchester City
    Norwich
    Chelsea
    Crystal Palace
    Newcastle

I predicted 76 points and 4th a long time back but lets be frank here.

We can get to 83 points now.

I think we can win the next two and tottenham look flat. call it next 3 which would be huge after just winning 5 in a row.

Then its west ham who are unpredictable but we know allardyce will make it dirty, nasty and park a bus too boot.

the last 5 are where its won or lost. If we win the relegation fights and beat newkie cos nobody at newkie will have anthing to play for then i think the big two will decide the league but anyone in the top 4 could win it as a result.

I kind of like playing city first as city are an honest outfit. they'll give us a game, play it fair and it'll be tough. Mourinho will cheat in every way possible so my ideal would be to somehow actually be in front of them before we play them so he's GOT to come to win.

If he can get out of it with a draw he'll send his team out to injure our players, cheat, dive, time waste and wind up.

we'll see. if arsenal could draw next weekend and we could win away... it'll be hugely interesting from there.

Is that 5 wins in a row now? With Lucas and Sakho back, were hitting form at the right time, while also keeping clean sheets and getting back to full strength.

Yes bar Enrique we are totally full strength and so we can't be in much better position. It's just a question of a bit of luck and give 100% in each game and not wandering forward leaving gaps at the back cos "it's only Cardiff"

We're on 62 with 27 to be played for- I'll be disappointed if we don't end up with 80.
It's not just the mathematics, it's the way we're playing. I'm hoping for more, but from this position 78-80 is the minimum I'd expect now.

  10. 80pts would allow for three losses in nine games. With us yet to play Chelsea, Man City and Spurs, that's probably a realistic target <ok>

I'd be very disappointed if we lost at home to spurs given both of our current forms.

  12. Ditto, I just listed the three hardest games allowing for margins of error etc. We'll probably slip up against one of the other six at some point anyway.

With our run of form Lucas and Sakho should stay on the bench. Lets keep the momentum!

Well we'll see.... In any way you cut it putting a full squad out we've got enough to go win each game but then so do the others

Right now our only issue is at lb isn't it?

Midfield is Gerrard and Henderson and a choice of coutinho or Allen depending on the tactic I suppose

SAS up top and a choice of coutinho or sterling again

CB picks itself as sahko cannot be fit yet, mingolet is not even a choice so the only issue is for me at lb

If we steer clear of injuries I think we'll romp home

  16. I think the whole team more or less picks itself. The only debatable areas are involving the three mentioned above; Sakho, Lucas & Coutinho. All three are fighting to get back in the team ATM. #goodproblem

PS..we only have a problem at LB if Flanno is playing RB <ok>

For me sahko can't be fit enough but can force agger to play well, Lucas cannot come in but if Rodgers finds some tactic for say city or Chelsea involving him fine... I cannot see him coming in now

And as I said coutinho sterling and Allen could all play depending on the occasion

It's all about injuries now as we're covered except for aspas on the bench.... SAS fitness is key

    --------------------Lucas---------------------
    -----------Henderson----Gerrard---------------
    -----Sturridge*---------------Sterling*--------
    -------------------Suarez*--------------------

    * = Free role, fluid, interchangable.

In the first system, once Coutinho runs out of steam, we bring on Sterling and make that front three become fluid like the second formation. Allen can come on for Lucas to keep possession and steady the ship if we are winning or need to calm things down.

In the second system we bring on Coutinho for Sterling and revert to that inverse triangle with Ford in the 10 behind the two proper strikers. Once again, Allen can replace Lucas or Gerrard or Hendo as needed.

danilo, I can't see gerrard playing the role you have to have him in on that formation.

for me lucas won't play a part and gerrard will play holding. I think we need a better player than allen in the role of box to box and for that matter henderson i think would compete with allen cos technically there are limitations.

  20. Skrtel as been our best defender all season and Sterling is our form player ATM so can't see them not playing TBH. Also harsh on Allen IMO.
