It would be a very boring forum if we were only to talk about football, Chesh. In the future I will report anyone to the mods who go off topic or sport, it'll be a very long list..
I know m8 but us Kiwi's didn't even know you mick's even had tv's never mind your own programs. PS news flash Shako's a closet MOD.
Can only play what you're up against, can only attract talent appropriate to your level and Burnley are a good side who are in the automatics for a reason. There's no point bringing club size into it when we're in the state we're in. Yes, we should by rites have a better squad but that's about it. Status doesn't win you points, performances on the pitch win you points and we're still lacking in areas. Fortunately I believe McDermott is beginning to find things that work and now just needs to keep building the squad the same way he has been doing and find a way to get the team performing to their best. Having the takeover settled might be a great way to get the players out of their heads and onto the pitch. Unfortunately I think the wishes of the short-termistic impatient bunch on here will be fulfilled and he'll be sacked shortly, to be taken over by a new manager who'll "get the best out of the current team", fail to get results because "it's not his team", bring in players in the summer but "he's not been given the money", then fail to get results and be "not good enough", have "lost the dressing room" and be a "disgrace to our great club", to be sacked again the same time next season, and the cycle continues.
Absolutely no improvement from last season shaks. Same crap football, same hammerings and most of the same ****e players, just a different manager who loves the fans
Or a manager that knows that the crowd's behaviour affects the performances of his players? We all know that the team can get the crowd going, but we also know that it can work the other way. To me, he desperately wants the crowd to lift the players, not send them into a depressive spiral. And it's easy to say "they are professionals, they are earning xyz, they should be able to cope" - fact is they are human, not robots, and they will be affected by the crowd
Try telling that to someone whose unemployed or someone on a basic wage or a person who works 10 hr shifts who spend their money on that ****e. The players are human, but they are a bunch of well paid, pampered, humans. If they can't take a bit of criticism, they shouldn't be on the pitch.
Well Este the pitch has too much grass on it.......... Imagine our set of prima donnas playing on the old pitches in the 70s........
Yeah, with sodden leather footballs, poor sods would hurt their feet, Funny how lorrimar could lash them in tho, Mate, most footballers should be sent to train a week with the rhinos. Rudy might survive, stewart wouldn't last the warm up.
