Will the Allam family give the fans a fair, no strings attached vote?

Will the Allam family allow a genuine opportunity for the fans to voice their true opinion on the name change or will the vote be loaded with fatalism, emotional blackmail and be tied up with a vote of confidence for them rather than the name change itself.

    Vote Yes or No.

    No.

It needs to be officiated by someone like Graham Poll.

No matter how its worded it will only divide opinion further when we should be all together enjoying the pinnacle of our clubs success.

The Electoral Reform Society would be a good choice for an independent polling organisation.

    True.

The blame for this lies solely at the feet of one party and one party only.

I would always be against the name change but if they had gone about it in a completely different manner – or even some sort of reasonable manner - then we would all be enjoying our great season and (in the background) we would be discussing the possible benefits of a name change (rebrand) based on academically trusted and sound research.

What would be unfair about a vote of confidence?

    I do get it.

Any vote that doesn't come out in favour of keeping the existing name will be called unfair.

Plus how many of those voters in this poll who have said the vote would be unfair, would also vote that they have full confidence in the Allams stewardship of the club? 0%?
    Same difference.

Nothing, but its not related to the name change and would be unlikely to affect the FAs vote or any legal action that the club initiated afterwards.

An independently conducted vote with a simple Do you agree to change the playing name to Hull Tigers, yes/no would carry far more weight with the FA. But he could have had that vote at the Chelsea match organised by the OSC but he stopped it.

If what you get is a indeed a vote of confidence, then there would be nothing unfair.

When you vote in an election for a government, you don't get to cherry-pick which policies you like, and which you don't.

If the vote is worded as a vote of confidence, there is far more at risk for the Allams in terms of saving face or credibility, than just a vote on a change of name.

You should be thanking them for giving you this opportunity to express your non confidence in their business decisions.

It won't be 'black and white', surely? It's got to be BLACK AND AMBER

It's not as simple as "do you mind if the name is changed?" though, and you all know it. But you dress the issue up in nonsensical emotional bollocks, and pretend its a more simple question than it actually it.

It is NOT about just a minor name change.

    Yes it is.

Recently the Allam family have moved the goal posts and have tried to make it into a wider issue, about a vote of confidence in their stewardship.

Unfortunately, and unsurprisingly, a few people like you have actually bought this.

It’s always been about one issue for CTWD – the name change. Hence why the group is called City TWD.

Further, are they FA meeting discuss anything else other than the name change of Hull City?

the names changing.. get over it!
the way i see it, you have 2 choices - Leave the team to be supported by real fans that care about the team or become a real fan by getting behind the team, (none of this half assed: "only if were in the PL" or "only if were called Hull City."

The mods should change your name to 'Silly ****er' without your consent then see if you like name changes being imposed on you without no good reason

Do you want the name changed from Hull City AFC to Hull Tigers

    Yes

    No

The FA are voting on whether we should be allowed to change our name, that's the only thing they're voting on.

It's the only thing we should be voting on too.

No strings, no blackmail, no threats, simply a vote on what the fans want the club to be called.
