Genuinely feel sorry for mata, but it's his own fault. PSG wanted him but he wanted to stay in the premier league.

If he was played in the right position rather than being shoehorned into whatever formation that was supposed to be then I'm sure he'd still be great. Playing in a midfield with another player who doesn't defend (Januzaj) and two of the least mobile central midfielders in the league was so naive it's almost laughable.

    Actually it is laughable.

Just when did you descend from Planet Nob? <doh>

When you rejoin your spaceship, take Moyes with you!!

Meanwhile, try using your brain, such as it is, to see reality.
United have little direction and are badly in need of a good manager, sooner rather than later!

If moyes has any sense he will be building his team around mata rooney and rvp for next srason. This season is irrelevant regardd to mata as he is being played out of position imo.

RVP will be gone next season..he said similar things about staying just before he left arsenal.
Rooney tried his bollocks off and mata is just out of position...should have come to us. If he builds a team around them he is going to need more than £200 million if fellaini is anything to go buy. Lumbering waste of space.

In comparison Rodgers has built a vibrant exciting team on relatively little money. Esp when you consider our summer signings who, Ming apart, have had virtually no impact.

Must be some time since Saints had 4 or 5 players who could walk into Utds team.
Shows you where they now are!

As a Saints fan I cannot disagree with this statement. When Utd visit St Marys there will be a good chance that if we are at our best a repeat of the battering you received at the Old Dell in the 1990's will be on the cards again. I would also have to argue that players like Lallana, Rodriguez and Shaw would , in earlier days, been exactly the kind of players who would have leapt at the chance to play for Utd. I can't see any of them being tempted now.

I would also have to add that I think it is great that Man Utd dominance is coming to an end as this will make the Premiership more interesting. I felt the same 20 years ago when Liverpool imploded. Every dog had his day and I feel Utd are now set for a few years in decline. I can't see Moyes turning things around and the absence of Champions League football next season will only add to Utd's stature diminishing.

However, I would add one further comment. Ferguson's greatest boast was that he obliterated Liverpool's dominance of English football. Although I was no fan, what he achieved totally eclipsed the combined brilliance of Shankley and Paisley and even the best Liverpool teams from the 70's and 80's could not hold a candle to the teams that Utd fielded. Bearing this in mind I think it is totally unacceptable for Liverpool to come to Old Traffold and humiliate the hosts in the fashion of this afternoon. Traditionally Utd have raised their game against Liverpool and generally have got the better of their rivals. No one associated with the club should be accepting this kind of performance and if the winning of silverware is beyond Utd's grasp this season, I don't think being dominated by Liverpool is something you should tolerate. It should be unthinkable that the hard fought dominance achieved by Ferguson which consigned Liverpool's reputation to history should be ceded - especially in such a fashion.

That was awful, good job Sturridge is mostly selfish otherwise it could have been far worse had he passed it when they were breaking

Well that was complete and utter ****e. One shot on target. Somebody should remind RVP about the offside rule. Looks like the back four forgot to take their weighted training vests off. Liverpool played very well though. Could have and should have been worse.

Fergie would never have allowed Matth to do the match-day threads on this forum.
