I thought united fans thought clattenburg was a good referee? They seem to think he did a marvelous job when they faced chelsea.
Bar the sturridge dive, we played pretty well today and it will be hard for man u to have many complaints tbh
Good result for UTD, just confirms the need for total clear out of under par players at the club and rethink on the future.
First two penalties were penalties, the second being seen on replay as a definite one. It was a barge by Jones and would be given by most refs. Rooney's shout was laughable but the Johnson wrist was a better shout. I could see it given and I could understand why it was not given. It wasn't outstretched like Rafael's. Both were accidental but once you raise your arms you are asking for it and he was INCREDIBLY lucky not to be sent off. The third pen was a dive and I think you have the right to feel aggrieved. That tackle by Vidic was poor in any case and the red was simply an extension of Rafael who should have been off for a while. Sturridge's shout was a clear penalty too and you can consider yourselves a bit lucky it wasn't given - though its only fair considering the one that was. Overall we bossed it and I dont think Van Persie looked likely to score at any point, let alone any one else. You really have to ask yourselves, what is Moyes trying to do? What is his game plan? I don't see anything to suggest your problems will go away. A major rebuild is needed and unfortunately you are one year too late to the party. Winning the CL is your only hope but I just can't see it.
