Wonder what your excuses will be if you lose. Im looking forward to astros views should it happen. Uniteds is easy, we are poor.
No excuses if we loose fair and square. Trouble is most of our recent losses have come on the back of some controversy. Mostly poor refereeing. However, if united play well (?) and win then fair do's .we have a pretty much full strength squad for the first time for a while so it's down to the players. If they can't get up for this game they never will. We ,also, can probably afford to loose, mancs can't ! Simples.
WTF!! no Coutinho... Henderson and Allen for all their energy offers **** ALL going forward. I really hope this doesn't backfire. And very well hope it's not the stupid formation we played against Southampton. We were utter cack that day. Extremely lucky to have won 3-0 why the **** would BR want to change a winning formation. That too at this stage of the season! We've been ruthless with the 433, and then Allen has a decent game from the bench, immediately brought back into the starting lineup, At the expense of Sterling last game, and now our most creative player dropped.
I think it's a good change, to be honest. He's had to take off Coutinho in a few games recently because we weren't controlling the middle. We can do that now with this trio and we'll need to because of their forward 3 who are dangerous. We have to cut off their supply. Sterling, Suarez and Sturridge can still do serious damage and we've got the option of both Lucas and Coutinho to really change the game up.
Disagree completely that is the right team for today imo, we need to work hard as they wont roll over.
Is it going to be Allen, Gerrard and Hendo V Fellaini, Carrick in the middle? I suppose Ruiney will drop back though eh?
Happy with that team. Coutinho hasn't looked his quality self last month or so, especially away from home and Allen played well against Swansea and was decent in second half v Saints when Coutinho again came off. Nice to see Sakho and Lucas back on the bench!
Atleast hope it's not the formation we played against Southampton. But for some reason I have a feeling the scoreline rather than the performance must have clouded his judgement. We were exposed time and time from the flanks, a better side with those chances could have easily won that game. It's a a narrow formation and that could be suicidal against United, a team that primarily relies on attacking from the flanks.
Coutinho has looked like he needs a rest in the past couple of games. Also I have a feeling this is going to be a rough game tackle wise and Coutinho may not be the player you want in that situation. Utd never want to lose at home and against us they will double their effort, and be especially cynical when fouling. Just hope the ref is up to it, he is an unknown quantity today, at least when Webb refs when we play Utd we know he will give them a dubious penalty so our mindset is "we are 1-0 down" from the start. I have everything crossed for this one!
Really not liking how everyone including pundits are all saying we are favourites, only setting us up for a fall! Never confident but it's only 1 game and 3 points.
