Clear pen on Boydy when Fernadinho barged him over.

Our passive flasker crowd in the south stand just accepted it

MOTD clearly shows Boyd deliberately spitting and Hart should have been sent off for butting and Boyd should have been booked for simulation then straight red for spitting. If Pardew can get 7 games for barely a nudge then Hart deserves the same. Our FA is utterly shambolic. A player with previous bans for outrageously biting other players totally unprovoked gets 10 games and Pardew gets 7 for a head nudge. No wonder the game is going to pot.

Bit ill informed there, making an arse of yourself with sweeping statements like that.

I, along with everyone around me in the south were right out of our seats, waving the V's and shouting our heads off at the incompetent ref.

    Pillock.

There is a little difference, one is a manager, the figurehead representing a club, the other is a player, also the figurehead representing a club.

    Actually you've got a point.

But Boyd didn't spit intentionally. If you think that's bad you should see the ocean load of mouth lotion Joe Hart drooled all over George.

MOTD shows Boyd clearly spitting does it ? How come Hart himself has already said Boyd didn't spit at him ? Pardew barely nudged Meyler did he ? I thought Pardew was the manager ? It was only Meylers self control that prevented Pardew being arrested¬for common assault. I agree that Hart should have gone because as far as I know this season any attempt at putting or leading with your head into someones face is a straight red card. The ref bottled it. But Mason always does when refereeing City.

It didn't show him 'clearly spitting' at all if anything I was surprised they flagged that up, its similar to the Robben incident the other week when a load of numpties got upset about nothing. Theres gozz coming out of his mouth as he is ranting but its not an intentional spit, I'm inclined to believe its actually gum. Also comparing it to Pardews incident is a bit far-fetched. You should get a job as a TV analyst you talk enough tripe, well played sir.

It was clearly this. He was desperate not to give a second big decision our way no matter how clear it was.

Boyd getting pushed in the back couldn't have been more obvious and how can you book him for a headbutt? Dzeko twice booted the ball away well after a free kick was given in a deliberate and successful attempt to waste time but nothing was done either time. They would have ended the game with 8 men if we were playing association football rules. Sadly it's rare that any match uses this ruleset any more.

No. It was a dive pure and simple. Hart didn't touch him and Boyd ****ed up our biggest chance of the game by trying to win a pen instead of trying to score.

Thats complete bullshit. South Stand was collectively having a go a ref and Man City players. You seem to believe that everyone except yourself is a 'scarfer' or 'flasker'.

I think Boyd was moving at speed and he tried to get out of the way of Hart. I do think he spat at Hart, though. He wasn't talking at the time so it wasn't accidental. I think referees make allowances more for players than they do for managers regarding the "head" incidents. Neither were butts.

The push in Boyd's back should have been a penalty and plenty of fans complained at the time.

Yeah, it was obvious he'd been had a go at by Man City players annoyed that Kompany had been fouled before being sent off (he wasn't, he just messed up), so felt the need to even decisions up. We barely got any decisions after that, and they started to get freekicks for every slightest little thing... it was only because Yaya Toure's dive was so blatant that they didn't get a penalty - no booking though and it was much more of a dive than anything Boyd did.

As for Dzeko, I also wondered how he was above the laws of the game? Constantly fouling our defenders, kicked the ball away twice for time-wasting and then did that blatant foul on Aluko that we got a freekick for, but again no yellow for Dzeko.

I don't really understand this 'refs even-ing things up'. 2 wrongs don't make a right is the saying. If the ref thinks he's messed up once, why mess up for the other team in whatever it is you deem is equal measure? Surely if you mess up once, you leave it and allow the game to pan out as it should?

Having seen the replay on MOTD George Boyd can clearly be seen spitting at Joe Hart and yes it was a dive. He should certainly be disciplined for his actions. The club should fine him and let that be the end of it. Joe Hart should of been sent off for his reaction.

As for the other incident, a clear elbow in the back should have been a penalty. Inconsistency from referees at this level. They should be a better system of scrutiny, perhaps something that allows for demotion to a lower league and equally promotion for better peformers.

We witnessed in other games last night clear incidents of penalties and sending offs that were missed or ignored.

This is a critical time now for many clubs. Whilst it is too late to change and rules or procedures close scrutiny by the powers that be should be a priority towards creating positive reforms for next season.

Nope. I sit in E3 and clearly saw the South Stand fans giving the ref some grief. Especially Joe Hart.

I watched it live on television. In real time, it looked like a penalty at first. From the reverse angle it clearly wasn't. I thought Boyd dived and was embarrassed by it. It was impossible to see any spitting going on. Hart should have been sent off for using his head. The push in Boyd's back almost immmediately afterwards was a clear penalty. I felt the ref didn't give it because it was Boyd again. I've no idea if he spat at Hart. If he did, the club should discipline him for it.

    Neither were pens.

Football's a physical game and pushing and shoving is part and parcel. He wasn't even facing the goal and had no shooting chance. Far too soft to give.

In fact Boyd should be punished for diving - I hate that.

Totally agree with all of that, I was ranting all game about Dzeko constantly backing in, jumping in or fouling our defenders (especially Davies) and then whinging when Curtis continually got the better of him. A grade A arrogant tosser. Unfortunately, a lot of players at the level seem to think they're entitled to play by a different set of rules.

At the end of the day, they have more top quaility players and once they went down to 10 it gave them something to focus on.

By the way, did you see how far the ball was going outside the post on Silva's goal before it cam back in?

    Maybe some were. Plenty weren't.

Check how many don't jump up when we score at that end, or give grief to opposing corner takers etc

    Talk about clutching at straws...

City should take some moral high ground and fine and/or suspend him (even though he was possibly our best player yesterday).
