Have we got many F1 fans on here looking forward to the new season, and who do you think will be champion I am tipping Nico Rosberg to be the next world champion
Definitely going for Mercedes, but probably Hamilton to edge it. Off to Spa on my birthday in August.
That is a good birthday present mate I thought most Naawich fans had a bath once a year rather than a spa break
..Quality! Dont know enough about F1 but wil be watching some. got some great background on it from Rrrs last night.
Big fan here. Unashamed Hamilton fan. Love the way he drives and all his aggression. Up early to watch qualifying this morning, but won't say anything more for fear of ruining the surprise for those waiting for BBC highlights.
Hamiltons dad grew up with mine. They didnt really know each other well but were at the same school together i believe... And no, its not name dropping. i dont claim t know him or his dad.
Lewis Hamilton takes pole, here is the starting grid! 01 Lewis Hamilton Mercedes 1:44.231 02 Daniel Ricciardo Red Bull 1:44.548 +0.317 03 Nico Rosberg Mercedes 1:44.595 +0.364 04 Kevin Magnussen McLaren 1:45.745 +1.514 05 Fernando Alonso Ferrari 1:45.819 +1.588 06 Jean-Eric Vergne Toro Rosso 1:45.864 +1.633 07 Nico Hulkenberg Force India 1:46.030 +1.799 08 Daniil Kvyat Toro Rosso 1:47.368 +3.137 09 Felipe Massa Williams 1:48.079 +3.848 10 Valtteri Bottas Williams 1:48.147 +3.916 11 Jenson Button McLaren 1:44.437 12 Kimi Raikkonen Ferrari 1:44.494 13 Sebastian Vettel Red Bull 1:44.668 14 Adrian Sutil Sauber 1:45.655 15 Kamui Kobayashi Caterham 1:45.867 16 Sergio Perez Force India 1:47.293 17 Max Chilton Marussia 1:34.293 18 Jules Bianchi Marussia 1:34.794 19 Esteban Gutierrez Sauber 1:35.117 20 Marcus Ericsson Caterham 1:35.157 21 Romain Grosjean Lotus 1:36.993 22 Pastor Maldonado Lotus No time Interesting to see the two Lotus's at the bottom of the pile as they had good cars last season, Uncle Tony will be pleased with a Caterham sitting in 15th spot, a slight improvement. Jenson had a disappointing session starting 11th while the other McLaren driven by Kevin Magnussen in at 4th. Interesting to also see Daniel Ricciardo Red Bull 2nd out qualifying world champ Sebastian Vettel Red Bull in 13th. Looks like we will have an interesting race tomorrow, I'm sure a few cars will retire too.
Good thread btw. I will have to see a couple of races before I can make a proper prediction, we need to see what the reliability's like on these new cars. At this early stage I'd go for Lewis.
I'm going for Rosberg aswell this year. Will be at Penang for the Malaysian GP this month, wearing my Rangers shirt also cheering on Caterham.
Jokes aside hope they give a good show. Good start from qualifying and who knows what kamui Kobyashi can do......
