Dan, you really are a smart arse aren't you. The only similarity I was drawing attention to in my original post was the catchment area. You then decided to do your thing (misinterpreting the meaning of my post in the process), and I just clarified that you should have maybe thought a little before going about correcting people with the attitude you typically do. I have not read any further into this than any other poster, your good self included. There's nothing further to say.
Yeah, my post was a tongue-in-cheek remark about how our attendances have been dodgy this season, not some personal attack on your integrity or an attempt at critical insight to Krueger's comments. It had about as much value as most other posts on this website, I don't know why you've taken it so seriously. I'm sorry if you took it as a slight or something?
Accepted mate, apologies. Guess that my original post wasn't 100% clear, and tonality certainly gets lost in translation in text form. Do you have a favourite team yourself from following the NFL out of interest? Been following NFL since Superbowl 23 back in 1989, love that sport (maybe even more than association football), but only because there's less of it.
Yeah I've been following the sport closely for a few years now, not nearly as long as you - latched onto the Indianapolis Colts pretty quickly and have been with them since. We've got a slightly active, very small American Football community on not606 (after a few of us were told off for talking about it in Beefy's/Cortese's/Liebherr's Corner) which you might want to check out - http://www.not606.com/forumdisplay.php/143-American-Football
Well sure, from a purely Saints perspective the analogy shouldn't be taken seriously. And please let me stress that again-- Please all Saints fans forget this ever happened and don't ever mention the Green Bay Packers and Southampton Saints in the same sentence again, unless that sentence also contains the words "opposite" or "in contrast." But the world is larger than Saints. So as a representative of all moral and right-thinking humans on this planet, it is my solemn duty to point out how badly the Green Bay Packers suck. And I can't take that duty seriously enough. They are not underdogs, nor are they the best franchise. They just have a bunch of smug, self-righteous supporters who dupe unknowing Canadians into thinking they are something special. They spend most of their time worrying about how to beat their rivals, the true greatest team in NFL history, against whom they have a losing record ans always will. So again, Green Bay sucks. Don't forget. Don't ever forget.
Cheers, that's good to know Dan. Hadn't noticed it before. I'm a 49ers fan from the good old days of Joe Montana/Jerry Rice/Steve Young etc. They'd had a poor decade or so really up until the last three years under Jim Harbaugh, but have been knocking on the door again of late. Colts have been solid (bar one season) for over a decade now. Hopefully Luck is the new Manning. Anyway, I'll leave this to the NFL board come September!!!
Haha...your posts on this thread have been slowly building toward this full on confession of hate for the Packers.....Let it out, let it all come out...you'll feel better afterwards
