I like it, but I'm terrible at it.

Any tips on how to improve my defence? Specifically, I'm usually okay at defending rushes, but then the quarter back will make a 50 yard pass and none of my players will be anywhere nearby the receiving player, making it an easy reception for their attack! It's really frustrating, considering they're good at marking my players!

Also, seeing as I'm playing the Vikings, I should probably make more use of rushing rather than passing....

Quite a bit, about 20m. We COULD make a play for Mack and I'd love it if we did but it isn't that simple.

Big news comming out of Wisconsin that Julius Peppers has signed on a 3yr deal! This is massive news as the Packers rush defence needed a boost and with Matthews, Peppers targeting a QB and Hawk chipping in too you have to think its good night QB!!

Every single thing the Vikings have done in the off season is now completely irrelevant as for some ****ing ******ed reason they have resigned Charlie Johnson. The worst guard in the league. Cannot get my head around how anyone in the front office could ever have thought that this was a good idea.

We had him starting at left tackle for a few years, he was awful (still not as bad as Mike McGlynn)

Maybe he's been signed as a back up?

Kenny? Talented player, had a fair bit of potential but has gone off the boil. Dropped in production and is completely mental, would be a locker room nightmare. He's been arrested about a hundred times.

Tell Aaron Hernandez that :D If he can be sorted out mentally it's probably not too late to make a good receiver out of him.

Hernandez just took acting gangster too far. :( If Britt signs, I reckon it's bye bye Amendola.

Brandon LaFell ment to have signed for $11m over 3 seasons. Britt is also rumoured to be handed a contract.

Eesh that's a lot of money for LaFell given that he's never really been great.

In other news, got my first league win in Madden 13! Although I was getting hammered by the 49ers, quit then simulated the match and somehow won. My tactic now is to play a match, if I'm likely to lose, quit then simulate it. I'm not bothered about losing, but I don't want to get sacked and my season goal is to finish in the play offs...

This is the only potential saving point about the deal. Signing a guy who knows the other players as a backup is fine. If he is a starter then it doesn't matter who the QB is they are going to get hit, a lot.

As Dan said $5 mil for 2 years seems to be starter kind of money, but other reports are coming out now saying that it isn't $2.5 mil a year for 2 years, it is $2.5 mil for the 2 year contract. If this is true then hopefully he is just being brought back as a back up.
