Make of it what you will (or won't) but this apparently stems from goal.com, the same people who first broke the news about Leroy Fer's 6 - 10 week hamstring layoff, which the club vigorously denied initially, but which turned out to be pretty accurate. All I'd say is, with friends like those, who needs enemies http://www.sportsmole.co.uk/football/norwich-city/news/hughton-to-leave-canaries_144296.html
Same source, presumably, but with a bit more 'meat on the bones' http://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/2896/premier-league/2014/03/15/4685423/-?
Goal understands that Hughton is now almost certain to stay until the end of the campaign but Norwich chief executive David McNally has already taken the decision to change manager in the summer. Would not surprise me in the slightest. At most (if not ALL) recent games, the camera's have latched on to the various facial expressions on DM, something I have not noticed with the vast majority of other clubs, it is even to the detriment of Delia who is getting less exposure of late. DM's face is typically somewhere between 'fed-up' and ambivalent, so you can only wonder what is going inside his head.
I very much doubt that anyone at the club, Hughton included, would have leaked that sort of news at this time, even if McNally´s mind is made up, so I hope it´s only rumour-spreading of the worst kind.
I must admit I saw that on NewsNow a couple of hours ago but didn't post it as it obviously contains more bullshit than a mushroom farm! As RBF says, who would disclose that sort of information at this time? It's hardly likely to be inspirational to CH or the team! - that'e for the journo, not you Cromer!
It quite probably is total horse-droppings Dave, but I don't think anyone can write it off 'totally' as being so. However, it does smack of either an overheard conversation, or actual, and twisted to make a story.
Its the same report, "Hughton will leave at the end of the season regardless of results", that has been floating around for a long time but his time backed up with an entirely unsubstantiated claim the Hughton supposedly knows about it. Whilst I'm not saying the content isn't true, the report contains nothing that makes me want to believe it in term of actually backing it up.
This wouldn't surprise me in the least, but I do get tired of these stories that seem based on overheard conversations
I suspect he will be leaving at the end of the season but that is nothing more than supposition and I suspect this story is similarly baseless.
I would say it is almost certain he will be gone. Nobody at the club seems to have an appetite for him to stay.
I can really see Wigan coming up, and therefore him not leaving a newly promoted club, so I'd rule him out based on that. Otherwise possibly.
That Mick McCartney sounds pretty decent - and we seem to do fairly well by poaching East Anglian managers?
To be honest my thoughts as well but that is my conclusion (being seen in Norwich and staying in local hotel for example) - I hope CH can keep us up and then we can see what the Summer brings, holding firm would help his case but I get the feeling that there is a groundswell now and it will take something radical to blow this off course.
