I mean look at the evidence here: http://forums.autosport.com/topic/192312-is-mercedes-using-traction-control/?p=6624477 You can hear it activate all through the lap, disgraceful cheater no wonder he got pole!!! 0:10, 0:22, 0:27, 0:29, 0:40, 0:43, 0:53, 1:08, 1:10, 1:21, 1:28, 1:33, 1:39 I hope the teams protest this and FIA throw the book at them!!!!!
0:44 TC saved Lewis getting pole, I mean it's clear to see no driver could do that without assists helping him making him look cool. I also didn't hear this on Rosberg 3rd place run so I think Mercedes are giving Rosberg sub par equipment for their favourite British son and screwing Rosberg over even though he is clearly the faster driver.
Can't be TC anyway, he is off throttle at some of them points. Just in case anybody thinks this is serious.
Hardly worthy of its own thread then. Should be merged with the GP thread as Silver's bit of fun take on quali.
well, he definitely comes off throttle at 0:44, a good save, but the 'mis-firing' just prior to it is curious, I thought it might maybe the limiter, but the revs go higher, but TC? I don't think anyone would be that stupid.
I don't know Miggins, they did an illegal test only last year and now Ross has left, he probably wanted to separate himself from the team in fear of this getting discovered early. Unlucky for them Mercedes have been caught out by the sharp, honest and unbiased fanboys who came across it first. I mean how can you not trust these guys with clear evidence like this?
of course, these guys have tested the tensile strength of the rule book for years, they know the limits. It's a curious noise for sure, but there could be a myriad of reasons for it, as to the legality of TC, I'd say there was probably scope in the rules somewhere for some form of it cleverly implemented.
With this weekend being the first time we've ever heard these highly complex engines properly for an extended period of time, trying to read a lot into the sound right away seems pretty daft to me. We had accusations of traction control last season based on similar recordings, with engines we'd been listening to for years. Can't see this being anything.
