Has anyone mentioned how totally **** Shane Long was?? I've never seen a city player this year so disinterested. amazingly poor first half and carried it on second half. His number was up to come off then they took Rosy off. Either or i know but Fryatt at left mid!!!! Plus our best threat GB at LB????? Christ Brucey you lost the plot there.
I don't know about Long Chazz, but I don't think I've ever seen a footballer look so disinterested as Dzeko did today. And he bloody scored!!!
Davies Chester Jelly Rest of the team seem to have had an off-day but then you have to put that in the context of a team that has been assembled at ten times the cost of ours.
Davies - as ever Huddlestone - Everything went through him. Elmohammedy - Consistent as usual. I would have gone with Jelavic but the offsides of all our attacking players cost us dear.
No shame in losing to Mancheat City.. 1>>>>>>>Davies 2>>>>>>>>>>>>Rosie 3>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Meyler I think best acting should go to Jesus Navas..What a big girls blouse....Broken back one second up and running around the next..if they win the title cheating there needs to be a stewards enqiruty.
We need to get a little trophy made for Jelavic, he broke a record today. Even Caleb Folan could learn how to get caught offside from him. Some of those weren't offside though, they were wrong. One right wing cross in the second half I was actually watching Jelavic as the ball was hit and he was at least 2 feet in front of Zabaleta, he had to run past him.
looking forward to seeing if Jelly was offside when Meyler scored his goal. I didnt think he was but Man City played it well. Very clever the way they pushed out just before a cross came in. Dont see that much anymore.
I doubt it will be showed to be honest. Flag went up well before the ball fell to Meyler, it wasn't included in the half time replays either.
I realise it's difficult in real time, but I saw nothing wrong with Meyler's goal. It should have been allowed just for being a great strike.
I agree with you and that's quite a rare event but I'm really shocked at just how many people have him in their top 3. His touch was awful at times and how many times was he offside when we were in promosing positions. Although I'm a big fan of Long and thought today was his worst performance for us so far. Davies as usual Meyler Boyd Struggled to pick two after Davies and although neither played the whole game, I felt they contributed more than most.
Just downloading the game now to look again at that David Meyler goal. Someone said it was Long that was offside but I didn't think he was anywhere near the play.
Davies (immense again) Chester Jelavic (despite the offsides) Boyd ruined his chances with the you-know-what incident. McGregor, Rosey and Elmo all did OK too, I thought. Yep. Long has been brilliant until today, but on this occasion he had a total Barry Crocker.
Today's Shane Long was the Shane Long I saw almost every single time I'd seen him play before he signed for us. Although today he wasn't even chasing much down, usually even if he's having a terrible game you can rely on him to be a pain in the arse for the opposition defence.
I see a few people have put Huddlestone. There's been some pretty damning footage of his game on MOTD.
It was rightly ruled for offside. I don't know how we can get done with the old school method of charging out every time a cross is about to come in but it worked for the whole ****ing game! It was like the old Sunday league defences but it was too much for our forward line
After careful consideration I've gone for Elmo Davies Those bacon flavour peanuts they were giving away free. Repeat on you a bit mind. I say they repeat on you Boyd woulda got in but for a shameful dive. FFS George you coulda scored. As an aside why do we water the pitch so much?? I know why, slicker passing but it doesnt need that much. Curtis slipped over a few times second half, in fact his slip allowed Silva to slide Dzeko in.
1. Chester 2. Davies 3. Elmohamady Jelavic was offside too much Boyd gets nothing from me for diving. Re the spitting, as Arsene Wenger would say "I didn't see the incident"
