With 80 pts on the board, 11 games to go (33 pts to play for), an ave of 2.28 pts per game, we could brake the 100 pt mark if things carry on, finishing on 105 pts. Another very good win today & having to come from behind, not for the 1st time at home, makes it pleasing to see we are good enough to get a grip of a game & turn it around. That was a very very good 2nd half & all the goals were well taken. & we had the bonus of pulling away from those sheep once again. "UTF"
One point more than Hull achieved in second last season! ... and only 7 points now required to equal Cardiff's winning total ... happy days
Riyad Mahrez was superb. Great goal and his passing was superb all evening. He created a lot of openings Another gem of a player found by Steve Walsh
Looks like Mahrez is going to be some player and another gem found by our scouting system. Mr Redknapp take note!! 80 points already is remarkable it really is. Would be amazing if we could break 100 points. Can it get any better.
Seemed that wherever I looked on the pitch, Mahrez was there. Seems to have taken to English football really quickly. Outstanding performance from the young lad. Had the influence today that Len Glover had back in the 70s.
Another player worth a special mention is Marcin Wasilewski. He gets better with every game Lloyd Dyer, Liam Moore and Paul Konchesky are going to struggle to get back into the team On a bad note Jamie Vardy is on 9 bookings and is 1 more booking off a 2 match ban. If he survives Blackburn next week without getting booked I would start Wood against Yeovil so that Vardy doesn't miss Burnley
Was having similar thoughts Barwell ... the cross for Morgan's goal was very reminiscent and refreshing to see (crossing is woeful in today's game generally) ... dare I say it ... I already think the lad has more strings to his bow than Knocky at this point in time ... I think there will be a few Prem clubs kicking themselves at letting him slip the net ...
... also a mention for Kevin Phillips ... his goal was an assured finish and typical of the man - give him a sniff etc ...
Think most of them were dressed as blue seats! Cant really blame them after something like 1 win in 16 or something coming to us when we were 15 unbeaten. The first time ive been there and was not at all worried about being 1 down a half time.
He is, but would agree, he had a fine game. Didn't he sign a 1 year deal with us? If so, certainly deserves a new contract.
His contract runs out in the summer. I would have let him go but after his recent performances I think he deserves a crack at the prem. But never play him at right back. His positioning is no exsistent
I think we'd be mad to not extend his contract. I can only assume we only gave him a 1 year deal because of his leg break.
The leg break was in 2009. I cant see that being a factor I think FFP was more then likely the reason
I have seen it but i cant imagine something that happened 5 years ago being a factor. Its not like its a persistent injury. If it was to happen again it would be nothing more then bad luck
