Nope - we were. Get over it. GM is not the answer, but there again at the end of the day, neither was ML.
Fair point lol But then, West Ham had just held Chelsea at Stamford Bridge Whilst Palace and West Brom lost at home to United
Fact ML has gone whether we like it or not Monk is here to the end of the season .FINGERS CROSSED TIME IM AFRAID
How can there have been a Monk vs Laudrup split? Laudrup had experience, Monk has virtually no idea what he's doing, other than what he's learned from the likes of Laudrup. I think with Swansea's set-up, an experienced coach is a must, and one with a track-record in the same kind of ethos that your team has honed for a while now. Monk was never that guy. I'm genuinely a bit worried for Swansea right now. Really bad luck and the Europa curse hitting home. Good players don't become bad ones in a season, the thin squad has simply been utterly exposed, as have the squads of every smaller club that's ever entered the Europa league before them. It's pushing the resources of clubs like ours. I think Swansea will get comfortably safe in the end, there's too much quality compared with those around them, but it might get a bit nervy.
Yep monk is now the only manager to keep us safe, but he needs to either work under an experienced manager or cut his teeth in league 1 or 2 for a few years. But it's too late now to get someone in and expect him to be able to change things. We've made our bed and now must lay in it.
Vorm Davies Williams Chico Rangel Britton De Guzman Michu Hernandez Dyer Bony That would be my first 11.
Good team swanselona and i think most woulld agree our best starting eleven. My point of asking this question is that when fully fit the team picks itself. We cant change the manager now there just isnt enough time so who is helping the inexperienced monk
I think both teams will be strong enough to start, the problem we're facing is that monk doesn't have the answers tactically to react to certain circumstances. Today we played our usual game and dominated west Brom, which we expected. But the difference was west Brom have appointed an experienced manager who could see what was going wrong and knew what was required to change it 2nd half. To this reaction monk didn't know what to do or when to do it to nullify west Brom's new game plan. It's not who we start with, the problem is how can we make the right tactical changes at the right times to make an impact.
Agree swan and only but jenkins knew monk had NO expererience when he appointed him but you have got to ask yourself where is the backroom staffs input
Valley its makes me question ALL the backroom staff and their actual help for an inexperienced manager
I can't remember who said it but recently a player made a comment about what makes a good manager and he said: "it's the ones who find the perfect balance of motivational skills and tactical vision". Unfortunately it looks like we're just replaced one for the other.
