Well done Ireland............congratulations.

But bloody hell...............what a terrible penalty miss form France and then a Sunday league forward pass with a simple over-lap on!! They threw it away!

Great finish, if that was football, FIFA would have let the championship be decided on a ref mistake.

Congrats Ireland although I think it should be decided on head to head records rather than who scores the most against Italy. No idea if that would have changed the winners though.

What a last ten minutes, France miss an eminently kickable penalty and then f*ck up a try with a forward pass and the Irish hang on. Well done the Irish, the best team are champions...<ok>

England would have won it if it was done that way.

England beat Italy by 41 points Ireland beat them by 39 so that didn't make a difference. Italy have been getting better each year so it's a surprise they've been tonked by so much this year. Plus I think teams should be rewarded for their scoring ability in all games rather than the result of the one game between the 2 teams. Encourages more attacking play. Would England have bothered playing as hard in the 2nd half as they did against Italy if only the result mattered?

No but its a rubbish way of deciding it, FIFA used to do it and it was whoever scored the most against the faroes or san marino.

Going head to head would have made the England v Ireland game even more exciting and important.

I regret bringing it up now as it just seems like I wanted it that way so England would win.

Its also pretty unfair not to play the last games at the same time as sometimes a team will have a huge advantage, imagine if England got 20 more points and then ireland knew exactly what they had to do and could play the game to win by x points.

I very much agree with your last point. The final games should all be played at the same time. France wouldn't have known whether England had won or lost and would have thought they still had a chance of winning the title.

I don't get many weekends off, so I'm going to get 'written off' tonight. I had this feeling that we would do something special this year. I love rugby. I love the honesty, effort and desire. Ireland and England are the two standout teams in the six nations. Both have very good managers and are building something special.
I'm a proud Irish man. I expect a grand slam next year with England and France visiting Dublin. I'm on pint 9 and heading for the moon.

And now all the whinging starts from you. Usual stuff from you Flyer. Never a peep out of you before kick off but then when things don't go your way, all of a sudden the rules should be changed. Sore losing cock.

Just as well you haven't a clue about rugby. Even less than soccer as it turns out.

Not sure what you mean by this and not sure how to respond.
I'm not a drunk and I'm not drunk. I'm the happiest man on earth tonight. My beloved hoops won and my country kicked ass. I work long hours. I really don't have time for bulls•ite or bull•hiters. I can spot them a mile away. I call it as it is.
I though I was on your ignore list. Don't disappoint me Flyer, I have a reputation to uphold with SB and Swords.

You were never on my ignore list as you aren't a troll. You don't just take the opposite view to wind people up.

Didn't you say you were on your 9th pint? I never said you were a drunk but assumed you were drunk if you had 9 pints.

Its also a good day for me, I didn't even watch the rugby live, instead I saw the flyers beat the NHLs version of Chelsea 4-0.
