I think it was hijacked. I think the passengers are probably dead and the plane is now grounded, probably somewhere like Pakistan, waiting for use on a separate terror attack.
That's a scary theory, Bri. It implies a fairly big co-ordination and co-operation among travellers on the plane. If true, it implies Al Queda not only have another flying bomb but better pilots to aim it. x
Well I think it's been hijacked, Pakistan is well known safe haven for terrorist groups to work from. The plane had the fuel to make it there. Looking at the countries in that area it's Pakistan that stands out doesn't it? Passengers may not be dead but contamination of the flight meal could take most of the passengers out hassle free. Now, bare in mind I'm a big fan of 24 and have a very very active imagination, means I'm probably wrong, but I do have a bad feeling about this plane.
Acquiring it for a future attack maybe? it's just a theory isn't it. Seems more viable than bloody UFO
some speculation and conjecture from the internet is that the plane landed in the XinJiang region of China after being hi-jacked by separatists from that region. Its entirely possible that the Chinese know the plane is there and that indeed they have been already in contact with the hi-jackers to negotiate, but have not wanted to make it public - hence the random photos of debris in the South China Sea released by mistake. The US may also know what's going on - but running out of patience with the slow progress are putting pressure on China by dripping out info 'anonymously' to speed things up.
Maybe some terrorist group is planning to hijack a few planes and turn them into weapons for an attack on either the USA or us.
Like they would get anywhere near. The planes would be picked up on radar or something, identified as the missing planes, unable to communicate, shot down because of that and where they were heading.
interesting info about the 'black box' and what it takes to destroy one http://www.npr.org/blogs/thetwo-way/2014/03/11/289189214/what-would-it-take-to-destroy-a-black-box
Funk, these planes are continuously sending out information one way or another. Computer systems allied to the engines apparently send data to the makers of the engines, like Boeing, providing continuous performance data. This new signal showing it was in the air 5-7 hours after going missing was known 3-4 days ago but was held back for god knows why. If it has flown towards the Pakistan / India / Sri Lanka, etc, or elsewhere, it will have been tracked by military radar. Unfortunately because this may give away some form of military intelligence, these countries are choosing to keep quiet about it, for now. That doesn't mean there's any conspiracy going on. As for hiding a plane and a few hundred passengers, most of whom would be carrying phones, iPads with immediate access to social websites, the idea's just too ****ing ridiculous.
