    How long does this fiasco have to continue? The board must recognise they have made a colossal mistake that has to be dealt with immediately!

    Monk is clearly out of his depth and will take us down if allowed to continue, 1 win in 8, out of the FA cup, out of the Europa it only takes relegation for 3 out of 3.

    Has the board accepted Championship football already?

    This chump must be removed of all responsibility and sacked immediately!

    He might well motivate our players, but tactically he is a simpleton!..........................<ok>

    We can't sack Monk unless a new manager is coming in. I said after the Palace game that the two week break would have been the ideal time to bring somebody new in to get used to the players etc before the game today. The board don't seem to have anybody lined up <doh>

    Curt would be better than this idiot, I wouldnt let him in the bar never mind the training ground. He is what he always was, a second rate centre half.

    Whatever his failings, he cannot be blamed personally for the inability of the players to turn gilt-edged opportunities into goals. If we had scored a second goal in the first half, I suspect that we would have won comfortably.

    That said, we just did not come out at the start of the second half and let them back into the game. In many respects, thereafter there was going to be only one winner unless GM took the game by the scruff of the neck and made "game-changing" decisions - he didn't!

    We need to beat both Villa and Norwich at home, and get at least draws against Soton, Hull and Sunderland. That last game of the season could well be soooooo important"...........

    Whatever he did or didn't do at half time, it did not work out well for us.

    Two games in a row we have been great first half, then come out as if he has told all the players they are the best thing since sliced bread, and they believe their own hype.

    And I do not give a toss who likes it or not, 1 win in 8. Come back ML all is forgiven. (well some of us didnt want you gone anyway :()

    3 of those were cup games. So 1 win, 2 draws and 2 PL defeats. Average of a point a game in the league. Remind me, how many points did ML get during his last 38?

    Either way you look at it Taff, a point a game average over the season is 38 points. That usually means relegation.

    Our players think they are better than what they actually are, and are not putting in the shift that they used too in previous seasons, and unless their mind set changes, we could well get dragged into the dog fight, where we would be a puppy in such a situation!...............<ok>

    He got 24 / 24 this season and got sacked. Point a game. After playing 14 top half teams and only 10 bottom half. So 42% of his games against bottom half clubs.

    As for his last 38 he got 36 points, which was just under a point a game, in which time he played I think it was 22 of those against top half teams. and only 16 against bottom half teams. 42% against bottom half clubs.

    I have already been through this btw ;)

    ML had also only ever lost twice in those 38 against clubs in the bottom half (Fulham and Cardiff), Monk is already half way there after just 5 games. And has played 4 bottom half teams. So just to let you in on a secret, that is 80% of bottom half clubs ;)

    ML's record is far superior which ever way you look at it.

    Next question?

    Laudrup's history, I don't care about him any more, but I do care about this club. Monk has no tactical idea whatsoever. He must be changed immediately. There is little chance of gaining points in the next two games so lets put him out of his misery and employ someone now, even if its until the end of the season. Surely the board had a contingency plan for this? They must have thought of this when they employed him.

    In all competitions = 3 / 10

    In Premier League = 1 / 10

    Lets even up the score. 8 games

    All comps
    ML = 3/8
    GM = 1/8

    Prem
    ML = 1/5
    GM = 1/5

    Bottom half teams played
    ML = 1/5
    GM = 4/5

    Next question? ;)

    I dont buy intot he whole, no more ML v GM debates. There was always a split, and its whats made the forum enjoyable for me of late, im not giving that up cos some don't like it now that GM is not doing as well as we all had hoped.

    Look, there are still a lot of people pissed at the way we got rid of Laudrup, and to make it worse, the fact the job was given to Garry. Those wounds are deep - so I don't think the ML v Monk is gonna go away anytime this season. Even next season it may continue if Monk is still in the job. As long as Dai keeps chirping in with anti-Laudrup posts, there will be others waiting to retaliate when Monk fails to deliver.

    Nope, but then I wasn't at the Liberty for Palace and West Brom either ;)

    Won neither of those games I might add, and 1 of those teams are above us, the other 2 are below us, wonder which of those 3 are above us ;)

    Cant believe all the bulls!!t we are talking.ML took us as far as he could and yes Monk is obviously out of his depth but take a look at the players today no one and i mean not one of them put in a shift today.Michu came on and looked totally disillusioned.Ok he may not be match fit but it looked to me like he couldnt give a toss.Its time to stop moaning about whichever manager we have in charge because if the players dont perform we are f**ked
