Ehab just said on RH they're going to poll the passholders only.

    Too late?

Happy Tiger said he was against polling the fans. So Happy should we expect another u turn or are you going to stick to your principles and admit they're making a bad decision?

Last desperate throw of the dice as they know the fa are erring towards no. Threaten to walk away one day, then poll the fans after the threats another, blackmailing them to say yes. The season ticket holders should have been polled months ago and this might all have finished as soon as it started . Contradictory rubbish yet again from a pair who underestimated the s**t they would create, and who know they are beaten. Time to see if they have the balls to follow through with their threats. My guess is no.

Ehab said the timing wasn't right before but it is now. When pressed how much it'll be worth to change he said it's not a quick fix, it's over the next 3-4 years.

Burnsie's got a longer interview with Ehab in the next couple of weeks.

Poll will be announced Monday or Tuesday and take place at the end of the week. Expecting to take a week to complete.

Well credit to them they've got there in the end.

I'd like to be confident in a "No" vote but I think the Allams are very effectively playing on people's fear. Hopefully the fans will make the right decision.

    Question should be:

"What is your preferred name for the club?".

    Question will be:

"Do you support the Allam's ownership (remember the semi-final)?"

I am just wondering if they think the FA will say no, so they will ballot the fans, the fans will say no and they can get out of the whole mess by saying "we did what the fans wanted". They then save face.

I really hope it is just a straight forward question that we can answer yes or no to. No grey areas or attempts at bribery.

The short comment from Ehab on the radio certainly seemed to suggest they expected a no - he said the FA had "changed the rules" and were "wanting to say no"

I certainly welcome a ballot - but this has to be a free and fair one - they can't ask "Do you want to be Hull Tigers or do you want your season ticket to go up by 50%"

Did he really say the FA had changed the rules?

There is only one rule. At the beginning of the season it said the FA Council has absolute discretion to say yes or no and that's what it says today. How they gather the evidence for that decision is up to them.

If they wanted to they could have held a ballot as part of their submission to the FA.

Just to clarify - I welcome this decision even though it should have been done months ago.

I just hope it's done properly and with either no propoganda or a paragraph from either side in the voting slip.

I expect it'll be "Do you want to watch football or WHAT?"

I can't get a replay of it yet - but I'm fairly certain those two quotes are pretty accurate. Up until he said there would be a ballot - I thought it was a concession speech.

He definitely said the FA were wanting to say no.

Its their last throw of the dice, they seem to have some blind faith in a silent majority actually wanting to change our name to Hull Tigers.
