Bored of all the ticket whinging and whining. Have we forgotten we've got a tough match tomorrow against a team with some fantastic individual talents. Will they be a whipped pup after their defeat in midweek and to Wigan last week? Or come out all guns blazing?

    Likely City Team
    Macc
    Rosy Chezzy Davies Figgy
    Elmo Hudd Jake Meyler
    Jelavic Long
If Jake isnt fit, will Brucey put Aluko left mid or give GB a go. Played well against Sunland last week?
This time last week, Manchester City were in with a chance of an unprecedented quadruple. Now, with the League Cup already safely stored, they have only the league to focus on. It will be intriguing to see how they bounce back following the defeats to Wigan and Barcelona but Hull will look to use the momentum gained from their FA Cup run to move closer to safety. Alan Smith

    McGregor's Wife
    Rosenior - Chester - Davies - Figueroa
    Elmo - Livermore - Huddlestone - Meyler
    Jelavic - Long

I don't normally go with Meyler on a wing, I prefer him in the middle, but he deserves to start after Sunderland and would give cover to Figueroa who'll probably need it. Leaves Boyd, Aluko and Quinn on the bench to make an impact if needed.

Can see him going 352 to play Huddlestone, Livermore and Meyler as a central trio though.

    Agreed.
Would settle now for a 1-1, but if we play as well as we did at their place I think we'll get a win.

I'd take that team too Chazz. If Jake is not ready I'd put Meyler in the middle with Thudd and Georgie Boy on LW rather than Aluko. GB's work rate and defensive cover for Fig is better, he's unselfish (unlike Aluko), and can put a cross into the middle for Jelavic/Long. We need to keep possession and put pressure on their defense which isn't that great. Zabaleta is suspended isn't he...and Aguero out injured???

Boyd looked great when he came on against (a tired) Slumberland. Lively and full of confidence. In the absence of Brady, he's a natural solution on the left and when we need to pressure Citeh he'll run and run and run.

A draw would be bloody magnificent, but a close game with no injuries or cards will do just fine

McGregor's wife?? Why, does she keep things from going in?

Seriously, I know I'm a stupid Yank newbie when it comes to the beautiful game, but I have the feeling City is going to come away with at least a point tomorrow. Played them well at the Etihad, we're in good form, and they're not. Wouldn't a home win and three more points above the drop zone look nice?

If we cant get a point to need to ensure that we do not take a pasting. Need to preserve out goal difference advantage.

She seems good at parking so maybe she alone could park the bus and free the other 10 up to keep scoring.

Bored of the Wembley talk. No issues getting what i need.

YES it is game day. Hope for a win but a draw will do. Add to the pressure of our rivals at 3pm if we do get something from the game points wise that is. UTT

    Hoping we can win

If not a draw would be fine.

But win draw or lose I will be happy as usual

Can't see anything other than a defeat on this one, I'm afraid.

Only approach to this game has to be attack, attack, attack. If we sit back, they'll rip us a new one anyway so we may as well go for it.

Totally agree, sitting back and soaking up the pressure will only lead to the inevitable loss, we're not going to keep them out for 90 minutes. We need to try and occupy them higher up the pitch, pressurise them early, don't let them play it out and then try not to give the ball away cheaply, when we've managed to get it. Its going to be hard work for all of our players today and the 3 subs will be essential too, to give those suffering most a break.

I dunno i think Brucey will set up to soak up the pressure and hit em on the break quickly. Plus we are going to need really good set pieces, free kicks, corners to nick a goal.

I'm thinking we might set up like Wigan, leaving 2 players with pace up top to occuppy there full backs.

Ditto. Bruce analysed Wigan's performance in the pre-match and without obviously saying he'd copy the tactics he did mention how they kept the ball well and didn't gift it back to City.
