For an accountant you really are ****ing dense. they want to raise revenue, and if they cant change the name to attract investment, they will have to get the money from somewhere.
Oh, the ignorance of stupidity! It looks like you haven't heard of price elasticity of demand. If the club raise the prices of season tickets substantially I think that the price elasticity of demand would result in an overall reduction of income. Given that the costs are negligible then they would lose money not gain money.
Why should anybody agree with you that not supporting the team at matches is required? What has watching PL football got to do with it? I started watching Hull City in 1963-1964. Should I stop watching them because of a name change? No. Should I stop spending money on anything other than a ticket to watch the matches? Yes. I have no interest in your respect.
After the name change? I wonder if there CTWD members will still go into the ground and sing at 19:04, I bet AA is laughing at them, PAYING him to protest? you're having a giraffe!
Three things that were obvious bull **** in that interview - 1. Do you have "Hull Tigers" sponsors lined up? "Well yes but not right away, that is we are speaking to some but nothing definite straight away and um it's a long term strategy". 2. You have threatened to sell the club. Ehab - "I think we can find a way to appeal." Assem - "The 'For Sale' sign will be up immediately'. Ehab - "Oh yeah that's right, it would be untenable". 3. Why are you doing this? "For the fans. For the silent majority". Well, who can argue with that last point. It's about time someone stood up for the silent majority. They've been denied a vote on this matter for far too long!
these CTWD groupies will pay whatever they can, so that "they have the right to protest at 19:04" I guess that the fact that they're PAYING AA a small fortune for the priviledge won't cross their minds.
you seem to be making it up as you go along are you now saying that there's a large number against the name change?
They are not paying him to protest. They pay to watch the match. You are having problems because you always combine things that are separate. Try to use logic and you will understand things better.
What should I do if I think the Allams have generally been a force for good, but I just disagree with the name change proposal? Should I stay away and not give my support to the Allams and the team? Reducing arguments down to binary decisions is a sign of not understanding the argument.
CBA reading the previous 7 pages so apologies if this has been said. What a fabulous, honest and refreshing interview. No media spin, just up front and to the point. I think we all admit Dr A isn't the greatest public speaker, and if Ehab had headed this up from the beginning we might not be where we are atm. I REALLY like Ehab now, more than before, and it should be quite clear the Family know what they're doing. He'll be more successful in the future than his dad has been I would wager. They nailed CTWD too. 1600 members (ok it allegedly is 1800ish now?) made up of people prepared to spend 2 quid from all over, not just Hull City fans. I'm happy I have the Family on my side, fighting for my club and doing the best for club. CTWD GTF.
I equate it to the East Yorkshire/ Humberside argument. I was born in Yorkshire, lived in Humberside for a while, and now back in Yorkshire. I never referred to Humberside unless forced too. I want us to remain Hull City but if the name change goes ahead I will still go, but continue to call it Hull City and support those trying to get it changed back. My main concern is what is the future if the FA decide the owner can change the name - could Hull Tigers lead to Cash Converters Tigers if they (or someone else) offered enough. Would The argument then be that were still 'Tigers'? Whether people want to agree or not, your name is a big part of your identity.
Happy Tiger, it's fairly clear that everyone on here thinks you are talking absolute ****. Your blinkered approach to events at the KC is embarrassing. How can you sit there and watch two men giving 15 minutes of pure spin and lies and lap it up like a new born puppy... I really hope for your sake you are not so naive In all walks of life. I don't doubt there are a large amount of fans who don't really care or who don't want to rock the boat, in many ways sitting on the fence is worse. People like yourself though who blindly follow a leader to his every word, it's just quite sad really.
If you had bothered to read the other seven pages, you'd have seen that the myth of CTWD supporters not being City fans had already been dealt with. Ehab has no idea where our members are from, his claim that we have supporters in Cardiff is complete bollocks, I don't remember a single application from a Cardiff address. HT GFT CSM.
