Luton Town are the first English club to give their supporters' trust the legal right to veto any proposed changes to the club's image.

This is something I would like to see all clubs adopt ASAP.

Quite interesting I thought, we've spoken about it in quite some length before and I'm yet to find a staff member who disagrees.

Having been married to a teacher who quit, and having a few friends who quit being teachers, there is an awful lot of familiar stuff in that article. Two things stood out for me: first, the teacher who pointed out that doing drama in school actually teaches valuable life skills like co-operation and teamwork, and because there is no time for it the numbers studying have halved; and second, how the government have made it so easy for schools to be turned into corporate academies, which is the start of the slippery slope towards full-scale privatisation of education. Chilling stuff indeed.

 

Forwarded to my wife, who works as a TA at my kids old primary school and puts crazy extra hours in as a TA! I have tried to convince her to teach, but seeing what she sees, it is always "no way".
