Ings will win it, though I always think if a team runs away with the league then their best player surely has to be up there. Drinkwater is the engine of our team. He's even added goals to his game this season!
This, alot of outsiders overlook him, nice to see him recognised. Ings will win though, hes a big reason they are looking at getting promotion.
good player for you guys this season, very under rated ings will win it though, unless something happens between now and end of season..? cant complian with that TBH
You could argue that even if DD has a perfect season, strikers at clubs that are overachieving will always trump that.
If you look at clubs overachieving, Burnley are the most overachieving club in the league. We were always expected to finish around the playoffs, Burnley weren't expected more than mid-table after losing Austin. please log in to view this image Admittedly this one was WELL wrong, must have been a Charlton fan!
Expected by whom? Know nothing f-k wits on open forujms? commentators who have never managed a team in thier lives, fans who go on reputation? exactly who had a worthwhile "premonition" ? Grow up and make your own choices !
WOAH easy tiger!!!! Bit harsh Quueny that mate. deep breath pal, deep breaths. You seem a little wound up by that "opinion" not quite sure why, but each to their own, I understand its a tough time right now being a QPR fane've had years of it, so we make no apologies for revelling in these current times. In football you have to make the most of these successful days when they come along for a club like Leicester, as we know they won't last!! Anyway, back on topic to the opinion that seems to have wound you up and thats all it is mate, just an "opinion" Like I thought QPR would be top 2 this season. So for "me" you are "underachieving" I expected Bolton to be in the play offs "underachieving" I expected Leicester to be in the play offs "slightly over achieving" Burnley to be mid table at best "Overachieving a LOT" confirmed by a lot of their own fans comments on other forums Ive read. Does that make me a F** wit or a need for me to "grow up" really? Its just my "opinion" Queeny mate thats all. nothing more nothing less. Thats what these forums are about, so for you to post the comments above telling others to "grow up" etc was a little over the top and uncalled for in my humble opinion Then people will bite back and you wonder why. (though I expect that is your intention you rascal!) You know I have no issue with you pal, but I do often shake my head in bewilderment sometimes at the "tone" of your posts. Still like I said each to their own and its all about "opinions" and that was mine for what it was worth. Happy Friday to all and wishing a great weekend ahead. I'm off to see the Miami Heat tonight so should be a good night and even better if my beloved Leicester can dispose of Blackpool tomorrow. Fingers crossed. Cheers
Fair enough MIMI and i appolgise. i dont see where or why those teams were expected to finish as propossed. Sme as i dont know why people are stupid enough to buy into the QPR media thing....must be based for dummies. You are the best team this eaon without a doubt... Its a shame some of your posters dont show some of your class and restraint as they may well need allies next season. leicester are where they are based on off field and on field decisions...hope it works out for you. MIAMI..your mods will get crucified by "big" teams if they even bother posting wihyou? believe me, there were certain "big teams" that did not even bother posting with us when we went up. Considered very insignificant and just another 3 easy points. Ill be watching to see how it work for you lot, but im undecided right now..part of me want you to do well because you deserve it..part of me wants you to fail badly...because you deserve it... It'll be intresting to see how the "big boys" view you anyway..DD was a worthy nomination IMHO
Fair play pal. I'm not sure the posts we get on this board next season will be significantly different to be honest mate. We really dont get that many posts on here this season from other teams. In fact I cant even recall any posts other than QPR, our good friends at Hull (whom we struck up good banter with last season and looking forward to again next season) and the odd one from Leeds. I'm sure we will stay in contact Queeny next year and you will certainly have more amunition to throw at us as we will lose a fair few games thats for sure Going to try and enjoy the ride though and see where it takes us. Hopefully 17th or above for the first season back. Anyway enough about us. What about your lot? You should get back to winning ways tomorrow (surely!) v the mighty Yeovil. Any chance Austin will be back beofre the end of the season? I think you will get in the play offs and then its a lottery. Fantastic way to get promoted though via Wembley. Gives me goosebumps just thinking about it. (But ill take auto's obviously haha!) Cheers
Cheers MIAMI, Not surei really want us to go up TBH If we dont it means we can get rid of Dedknapp and a load of loans and build around our younger better QPR players. We have the necleus of a decent team but being in 2-4th pos all season means we are expected to go for promotion. This is at the loss of developing younger players and means buying in older players that 'Arry wants to work with. We have an amazing backer who puts his money where his mouth is...just a shame he's so f-ing gullible! Anyway, like you say, all you need is 17th and above for the first to seasons, let the money roll in and establish yourselves as respected EPl team. F-me, if Stke can do it I'm sure you lot can. there should be 3 worse teams than you in the EPl next season, so you should get through it. Make no mistake though, its a completely diffrent ball game. Good luck
Shows how unpredictable this league is (except at the bottom, obviously!). Brave to predict QPR and Wigan missing out on the play-offs, but looks like both could be wrong, and like everyone else, I'm not sure what the Charlton prediction was all about! Couldn't see us not making the play-offs at least as I said all summer; we had the same young team as last year which was only going to improve, so that was a poor call. Got Watford spot on while Bolton and Leeds still flatter to deceive - never understood all the Leeds talk - was it just because of McCormack?
In what way are we over-achieving? For the last two seasons we were the odds-on favourites to go up with some, if not most, bookies. We, after this season, will tie hold the record number of second tier championship victories. Only 24 clubs have spend more time in the top flight, so on average in our 130 year history we have been involved in the second tier promotion race or in the top flight. We're also one of the richest clubs outside of the Prem. We're the only club in a huge county and next season expect to fill a 32,000 capacity stadium every game. Even in the second tier, we attract larger crowds than some Premiership clubs. Which bit is an over-achievement?
Im not sure of your point gangnumstyle? I thought i said BURNEY...? Wome intresting stats (for trinspotters) though but i would be boasting about the 24 clubs thing (25%) or are you saying there are 24 clubs that deserve to be in the top flight before you? That would mean you should be playing your football in the......? you work it our! I cant comment on your wealth as i honestly done know, but have no reason to doubt you. Only club in a huge county..what does that tell you about that county then...? i believe you should sell out every weekend. What else has anyone in Leicester got to do with thier dole money on a Saturday arvo.... Now before you get all sulky and go into one. Most of this is obviously a tongue in cheek. just thought i'd spel that out before you go off on a rant of some kind....."humour" ..Google it
