It's been a reasonably big gift for the people that we have a club to go to, and watch us play in the highest league we can. He's a businessman who's trying to do what's best for his business and create long term success and security. Whether it's the right thing or the wrong thing, only time will tell.

you will still go .. so that's one of the CTWD group who really wont walk the walk ... says it all really ;)

and I don't care about the 2k "masses" .. I only care about success on the pitch , which we are getting ..

but if you were that passionate about the name change you wont see that next season eh ?

I agree, it's the old adage about not being able to please all of the people all of the time. He gave it his best shot but it's backfiring on him more and more day by day.

The fact is, you aren't going to scare Allam by saying 'we don't like it, and if it goes through!... we'll do nothing but moan a bit more.'

There's got to be some sort of negative side to this for him. From the doc's point of view, if it doesn't change he loses out on some potential investors but fans will feel like they've actually done something (and he's not as powerful as he thinks)... or it goes through, all the fans keep going and he'll be able to get his sponsorship deals and probably try harder to make it succeed, to stick it to CTWD. Why would he change his mind over that.

And if he convinces the FA that it'll give us financial benefit with no risk of any sort of mass fan migration I can't see them stopping him.

Not sure it's backfiring as of yet, It'll only backfire if it doesn't go through

exactly that .. CTWD stance has been "lets sing (whilst paying to go watch the game) ... then it shows we are passionate"

he wont care as money has been passed already ... if you really think that you are making a difference with the odd support from clubs etc you are mistaken ..

money talks , that is all and you will keep on paying

But he did all this after we bought the tickets. Why didn't he do it beforehand if he knew he'd have the backing of the fans?

I'm still waiting for this business plan. Oh and my vote.

Even if he thought he had the backing of most of the fans, why would he risk losing money from even the few who wouldn't have bought a pass? May as well get as much money as you can, surely?

re the comments about Ehab "coming across well.."

Really? I think his image is tarnished by a disrespectful comment about Nigel Pearson, a manager who did as well as he could when no money was forthcoming.

and then a stomach-churning "I still call it City sometimes.."

well so you f***ing well should, because up until/unless (delete as appropriate) the name is officially re-changed by FA consent that's the name of the club, Sir.

I will also add that being "approached" by multi-national companies does in no way, shape or form imply the signing of contracts. It could well be a "request for information". Still NO EVIDENCE forthcoming.

    and then..

You will 1) walk away... yet... 2) there are legal channels which could be pursued if the name change is rejected...??

    what is it to be?

You say the fans are "confused"...

    Your rhetoric is equally so.

First time I've heard Ehab speak. Not sure why I was surprised by his Hull accent.

    Comes across very well.

    Absolutely nauseating.

I'd rather have a toby jug filled with hot piss as our chairman.

    How?

    Eloquent? Persuasive? Humble? Well-dressed? Respectful?

The logic of his 'arguments' just don't stand up- he is very unconvincing.

Well just goes to show how thick you are. They are talking of putting up the season passes by 50%, that would probably reduce sales by 60-70%. If the international companies they are supposed to be talking to want to get their product in the view of PL worldwide viewers they wouldn't give a **** about our name. They might give a **** about the Allams using it as an example for changing the name especially as unlike the Allams they can see how unpopular it is. They are probably running for cover as we speak.

Are you right in the head. How the hell will we not see success on the pitch next year if we stay as Hull City. How dumb can you get. We are seeing success now, we are in the FA cup semi final, in the Premier League, getting worldwide publicity. Hull City AFC is a success and can go on to bigger and better things why the hell do we need a name change. God I can't believe I am wasting my words on you.

Nothing is as black and white as either side make out. There are 50 shades of grey (apparently).

Plus I don't mind him calling the **** out of Nigel Pearson. Boring **** hated City fans.
