With the Allams talking of leaving overnight if the name change doesn't go through - would/could you as a fan walk out overnight and not follow or support Hull Tigers if the name change does go through?
I would never walk out on the club but would never refer to the club as hull tigers or spend any money on anything with hull tigers on it
I'd consider it. I support the team, not the man at the top, so i'd likely stay. This "dont watch if you dont like it" tactic applied by AA and some folks on here is pretty pathetic.
I'd hope most would support the team even if they didn't like the name. They'd probably sing City til I Die for the next few years as a form of 'sticking it to the man' or refuse to buy merchandise that not many people buy anyway, while the man upstairs smiles to his smug little self at his baby.
Allam is not going to walk overnight either unless he has a buyer who is going to give him his money waiting in the wings in case his name change falls through.
I'd certainly walk away, couldn't bring myself to be associated with the biggest laughing stock in world football and the plastic fans that sat back and allowed it to happen. Hull Tigers will be universally despised and rightfully so.
I'd walk. Quite happily actually. I'd wish Bruce and the lads the best, but wouldn't buy anything from the shop or go to any matches. People saying if Hull Tigers doesn't work we can change it back equally annoys me.
So, because the name changes, you'd stop supporting the team you support 'through thick and thin'? At least Cardiff fans stick by their team despite the nutty owner and give their all to the players and staff
Stop supporting the lads? Er no. I wish them well on the pitch. I'd just not give them my money, because i'm not happy the way Allam and co have gone about all this. Just like Cov fans don't travel to Northampton to see a "home game".
Fair dos. I for one won't claim people who do go (if it becomes Hull Tigers) as plastics. It's up to them at the end of the day.
And i won't give out to people who refuse to support the Allams to not be proper fans, but to totally divorce the team you support because of a name and owner is childish. Cutting your nose off to spite your face so to speak
I don't think I could completely split from the team I've supported for nearly 30 years, but I'd feel resentful paying money to the club to go watch them. Not a cat in hell's chance I'd buy any merchandise though.
My club would be dead. The alternative to not watching live football would be to create AFC Hull City. AFC Wimbledon and FC United of Manchester and North Ferriby United have shown what is possible.
