Also, Sewerez`s wages will increase by around £5m per year next season (if he is still here).

  3. Nah. You lot are funny, always have been and always will be. Pure comedy gold. Look at you lot! Once upon time you'd be arguing the toss with United and Leeds fans, but now, you're reduced to arguing with us.

Can you not see how far you have sunk?

  4. Get over yourself!

Sturridge, the one-season wonder, has claimed that GBH can do "everything." I'm saying, "No, he can't!" because he hasn't, and never will, win the league.

    No desperation, fact, son.

Did you know Acorah was actually on our books but only ever played for the reserves.

On Aspas, I could see the logic in buying him. He appeared to be a tenacious player who dragged his team forward last season. He seemed to be a poor mans Suarez and it meant we could incorporate him and keep the same style when Suarez was absent. (Makes good sense.)

Unfortunately, he hasnt been able to produce in the premier league, which isnt great for his chances when we have the likes of Suarez, Sturridge, Sterling, Coutinho, Ibe, Texeira, Suso, all playing well or developing at a rate of knots.

Cost us what though 7m, and with a good La Liga pedigree we will probably get that of thereabouts if we sell him.

On another note, If Cardiff go down, theres rumours we might get Caulker? Looks a good player? Would you guys be pissed? or not bothered?

  6. I'm told that Acorah had to bail out of professional sports because he knew, ahead of the game, what the score was going to be.

Actually mate, it was alot more serious than that. It was similar to the reasons that nearly stopped Darren Fletchers career. (he was full of ****)

I'd be pissed off. It was a stupid idea to sell him in the first place. We sold him and kept Dawson! <doh>

I can hear the desperation and fury in your voice!

You've got no leverage using your own club so resort to what we have and haven't won.

Definition of a small club mentality.

Instead of bitching about us you should get your own house in order.

  10. That's right, because I run Spurs.

  11. "Starting to really fancy Liverpool for the title. Man City and Chelsea struggling a bit and both have to go to Anfield."
(An over-excited Mouser, on BBC Live Text)

    <doh>

**** me! Goofy FC beats the worst United side ever to set foot on a football field, and this twat thinks Goofy FC can do the same against the big boys!

Yet another reminder why 'Pool must never win the title.

I think that's the default for Utd fans now, isn't it? I'm sure you'll all enjoy the inevitable phone-in hilarity later this evening.
Moyes should be getting the Freedom of the City of Liverpool in the next couple of weeks, shouldn't he?

Well done mousers. Rodgers showing how great an impact is made by having the right man in charge as on paper you don't have a remarkable squad, yet on the pitch you put in remarkable attacking displays and that is fuelled by your managers belief in attacking football and the ability to install a positive belief in the players to pass and move.

I mean any manager that can make henderson pass and move deserves extra praise.

........Gerrard scoring twice and Suarez, also earned me vital points in my fantasy football team so that may be a reason I'm being extra nice!

  16. The one thing I've learned, over the years, about Mousers, is that I have to be on constant watch, especially after an easy win, because that is the time when their delusion is likely to be at its highest.

Remember, we've already beaten United twice this season, so we're very calm about it, and we know what a pushover United have become. It's no more difficult than beating, say, West Brom or Villa.

All I ask is that you try to keep things in perspective, and let's not have any of this silly talk about "winning the league." It's never going to happen. Chav, us, and £ity will put you back in your box, and you'll be happy with 3rd. Next season, Arsenal, us, Everton, and United will all take stock and make changes, and 'Pool (provided you manage to keep Goofy) will be back down in 7th or 8th.

As I said before, I'm not taking anything away from you Mousers. Enjoy this little ride - us Spurs fans certainly did, when we made CL. It's a one-off for you, so don't let it go to your heads, and we can continue to hold sensible debate.

    Thanks.

We only thrash the middle table sides, I agree.

EDIT: and you do realise title talk is in the '**** it, why not dream' stage? Like with Spurs/Harry a few seasons back when they were 3rd, playing fluid football with the likes of VDV and Modric flying.

It's City's to lose, and Chelsea's if they fail. We all know that. But no harm in hoping we're still in the conversation if one slips up.

The thing that's impressed me most about Liverpool's recent run is that Rodgers hasn't been afraid to ask his best player to do a job for the good of the team.
He's not getting immense solo performances from Suarez, but he's bringing the best out of the players available to him, rather than focusing on his star.
How the Uruguayan feels about this remains to be seen, but he's accepted it so far and got on with things, so far.
