This is what you said, currently United are not performing in the League or Champions League too well. So how you can put your team in that list over PSG who are winning their league and have just gone through destroying Leverkusen and Atletico who are 2nd in La Liga ahead of Barca and have also gone through after destroying AC Milan. Real Madrid destroyed Schalke and are top of La Liga So now it's about money spent? not squads capable of playing league and CL? You knobjockey Make sense biatch.
To be fair, the premier league doesn't care whether you're in europe or not when organizing the fixture list. Chelsea needed to play fulham at 12:45 on a saturday after playing gala on wednesday night, same for manchester city with hull. Other leagues try to help their teams in europe, the pl doesn't.
Because neither of them have ever, ever done it and considering the French League doesnt count ( france itself, doesnt count ) PSG winning their league is irrelevent. Its like celtic winning the SPL. Nobody cares, nobody has ever cared. very few teams can win the title and win the CL. United are the sole English club to do so. No other club has come anywhere near. Champions League.
Didnt hamper United in 2008 and 1999 though. PL winners and CL winners both times. How did Chelsea do when they won it? To Sisu, where did Liverpool finish?
Never said they will succeed, it just it makes it harder to be successful domestically and in europe.
The point I was making was how clubs choose which one is more important to them. Liverpool will make this choice next season and the other will suffer. I have a feeling they will be stupid and go for Europe. this will cost them the league position and they will finish around 6th next season. They wont get out of their group in the CL. if any LFC fan disagrees, go have a chat with a City fan. Ask them how europes been and ask them about how its clearly not harmed their league campaigns in recent seasons..... they have a bigger and better squad than LFC. Im not winding up, just making valid points.
Fair do's Was also saying that being successful domestically and in europe is a lot more easier in other leagues as they try to help their clubs not hinder them. It also doesn't help that the pl is probably the fastest league in the world which makes recovery a lot more difficult.
Just keep in mind how funny Liverpool will be next season. This season bar a few cup games, its been the 38 league games only. They will play 42 games this season I think. 42. Next season they will play 50+ easily. Can they cope? Recent history suggests no.
