Ehab: "I call it City sometimes - by mistake (laughs)." Thought this when I met him at Ferriby and think it now, what an egotistical twat.
you can be called city yet you sing tiger songs... you've been mauled by the tigers, what's the problem?
I am completely against the name change and don't agree with it one bit, but Ehab speaks very well in the interview. They have saved us and i have nothing against the owners, just against the idea of the name change. I think Ehab should keep involved as i think if the name changes goes ahead or doesn't go ahead he will probably provide us with the stability and level head needed.
Great owners people need to realise how lucky we are to have these generous local owners, UTT hope the braindeads have the attention span to listen for 15mins probably not, ive heard so called city fans calling them foreign owners its ridiculous.
I spotted that too Chazz, & that's as Hull City. Add improved sponsorship (as Hull City) & a marketing strategy befitting of a PL team then we should be fine for years to come. Hull Tigers - no need, Hull City is working fine.
Proper charm offensive. So much to be glad about but still they cannot convince me on the name change. Ehab contradicts himself. He says global companies are approaching them and it is all very exciting then when pressed on the matter says it will not happen immediately it will take a while, he seemed to be pretty unsure and a more ruthless interviewer would have had him flustered. He thinks there is no problem as we still sing City songs, the irony really, we can turn the tables and say we sing Tigers songs, our nick name is Tigers so why do you need to change it. Says there are only 1600 CTWD supporters and believes firmly they are protecting the majority of the fans interest. Did I hear right when Assam said if the FA say yes to the name change he would only change it if they had the fans support (might have to listen again). If they are so sure the majority of fans either back them over the change or are not bothered then why not a vote. Still get the impression they just dismiss anyone that opposes the name change as not worth worrying about and as hooligans etc, they have no respect or try to understand those supporters. A stage managed attempt to wipe the Allam rants from people's minds and present themselves in a better light which I am sure will work for a lot of people.
Gotta feel sorry for them, in those "rough times". How can you use "spending £20m" and "rough times" in the same breath?
why in every interview, is this question never asked? this interview is just the same as every other, same old questions
