Like most players then? Plenty of Chelsea players included.

Back on topic, I think he's a good striker but he's a sulky twat and trouble causer in the dressing room. He also has legs made of glass

Its clear his latest comments is to get a pay rise, I think your club is being bent over by first Rooney, for the 2 nd time. RVP now and De Gaay

He'll be 31 come the start of the new season and still has 2 years left on his deal. Can't really see the point in offering him a new deal really. He's injury prone and with the injuries he's had in the past I'd be amazed if he was still a top class player in 2 years time. Maybe an extra year but he'll surely be looking for a 4-5 year deal now.

Hes a great striker, the best the PL has had in recent years alongside rooney ( check goals ).

This season hes been off form.... sorta. Still got a great record even though hes out of form.

How would Suarez and Sturridge cope off form? Would they still be banging in the goals?

Not a player who relies on pace so he will be fine. He barely runs now and still scores plenty. Why would that change, he would just move higher up and become a poacher.

It's not just about pace but general sharpness too and players with bad injury records rarely stay at the top well into their 30s. Maybe he will be the exception but as I say, I think it'll be a risk to give him a 4-5 year contract now especially with the kind of money he must be on.

I really dont see him ever hitting the heights of the previous 2 seasons ever again, 31 now and injury prone too, plus his attitude stinks.
I personally feel United would have been much better off sticking Rooney upfront with Mata behind him. Rooney finished top scorer the year he played the no 9 role and Mata is the best No 10 in the league and is stuck on the wings where you will get nowhere near his best out of him.

RVP has had two good seasons in his whole career, its downhill from here for him.

He can only score when he plays though UIR, and he can only play when he isnt injured.
By some good fortune, he had two seasons with relatively few injuries, but this season, and prior to the last 2 seasons, he has averaged about 15-20 appearances per year due to injury. With old age that will only get worse too as it takes longer to heal and longer to get match fit after a lay off the older you are.

Suarez's 24 in 25 games pisses all over RVP this season.

    Yep it sure does.

Its still pretty decent for an off form striker.... at an off form club though.

2 against wigan in community shield, 2 v estonia, 2 v andorra, 3 v hungary and only scored 1 against any team in top 6, im a massive van persie fan but imo he has hit his peak and is only going one way now. No way I would extend his contract

I could bring up an even worse list for Suarez and I have many times to wind the scousers up. However you can only score against the opposition you face and hes done it, while out of form.

If hes worse next season all points will be valid, however lets wait and see.

I think RvP is one of those players that will play into his mid 30's. Hes that sort of players. Obviously injuries are a concern but hes done alright for two years, hes missed a few games this season.
