Very Wood has been on my horse tracker since debut. Never would have backed him in a million years today though! Fair play to anyone that picked him out!

Looks like it's Gigginstown's day so had a lump on Last Instalment. Last throw of the dice.

I'm not betting now for the rest of the day, I've not got a clue what will happen next...!!!

I should take it in context as it's only a horse race but that fall for Briars Hill has done me big time in returns... Still up for the week but not as much as I would have been with a win for BH... Never mind, move on, hope all these jockeys and horses are well that have been involved in all sorts of shenanigans....!?!?

Afternoon chaps. Bookies are making a killing today. Like for many of you today has not gone to plan! Got Silviniaco Conti and Skyfarmer left to try and get me into profit for the day

Well despite the ridiculous day of racing so far I'm pretty hyped for the Gold Cup.

Haven't had a penny on the race but I backed Bobs Worth last year and whilst I think his price is about fair this year it'd be great to see him win.

If it's any of the first three in the betting I'll be happy and I just hope they all manage to get round in one piece!

So much for much hedging FFS :(

As for the outcome Briar Hill was winning that race easy based on form but if they don't jump, they don't win <ok>

And purely in response to yesterdays post with regards Kings Palace - 'overhyped donkey' and 'away home with tail between legs' all come to mind ha ha haa <laugh><ok>

Kings Palace? Have to think he has maybe ran below his best, typical of the pipes to win beating well backed favs with pricers.

If Last Instalment can win then today would go down as easily my most profitable day at a Cheltenham festival meeting, and still with plenty races left to improve the record.

Add non-stayer to the list Beefy <laugh>

The Slaney form didn't look anything to write home about before that race, the official handicapper saw it that way too (Briar Hill 147, Very Wood 137, Apache Jack 136) but it has really stood up today. Clearly those marks will need revising upwards.

Hard to be confident about this race even before all the mayhem of the last couple of hours. When in doubt, follow the form - Silviniano Conti has the best this season. Lord Windermere to mug a place.
