Danny Wilson (Barnsley Manager) "Leicester are the best team in this division by a country mile, in my opinion. They're class, they're a good team to watch and I'm slightly jealous in one respect because they've got some quality players there. It's coming together for them now. They're a Premier League team in waiting; it's only a matter of time." Chris Powell (Charlton Manager) "They are a very good side and we have possibly played against the champions elect if they carry on the way they are playing." Mick MCarthy (Ipswich Manager) "They are the best team by a street in the Championship" Eddie Howe (Bournemouth Manager) "They showed what a good side they are." Lee Clarke (Birmigham Manager) "The league table doesn't lie. They have quality all over their team and Nigel Pearson has assembled a very good team. I hope that they go on and get promoted." Aitor Karanka (Middlesbro' Manager) "Before the game I said Leicester were the best team in the league. I still say that now but they did not need any extra help from the referee." Steve McLaren (Derby Manager) "Leicester are a very good team and top of table and on that performance you can see why." Neil Harris (Millwall Manager") "I'm disappointed for my players, I thought they were fantastic from the first minute to the last. Everything that was asked of them they have done, I thought we were better than the best team in the league." Dougie Freedman (Bolton Manager) "But they are a million miles away the best team in this division so to defend against them for 90 minutes is very difficult." ... there appears to be quite a differenc wouldn't you say Queenie?
Like the Red Arrows for you aintit mate..... Typically Leicester..cannot have a decent debate with passion without feeling offended and like everyone is after us... FFS mate. read the post. Never put your team down, have openly congratulated you.and stilll idiots posting this garbage.. Such a shame for a club that has made such massive steps.
Hang on Fosse, we may have made a good counter-argument, which can only mean one thing.. We missed his "point"
What on Earth are you on about? How is this: Not a subtle dig that we are not the best team, even though we may win the league? Either: A) It is a dig at us Or B) You don't understand the term "to piss on someone's parade" Tell me Queenie, which one is it?
Queenie - what we, as fans, may think about our own team is largely irrelevant ... but I thought you might just be interested in what the opposing managers are saying? that is, in the context of whether we are, or are not, the best team in this division ... the irony is that it is you who started the debate on that particular subject in the first place ... i.e it is possible to win the league without being the best team. It is also possible to win it and be ... of course.
Mate, im not sure what your point is ( apart from the fact that you treasure other managers comments to make you feel good?) A lot of time and work gone into a post looking at others managers...you need a hobby mate..or a wife.. i never said you were not the best team, what i said is that the best team does not always win. Your posters attempts to prove this wrong are proof of your footballing knowledge. SAF, Wenger & Jose have been quoted as saying the bestteam do not always win..but Leicesters fans on this forum know better... I'm going to watch you lot avidly when...I did say when, you get promoted. My guess is you will change mods inside 3 weeks and you'll become the most approachable posters on the board...but thats just my guess....what do i know!! To alll those decent LCFC posters out there, i appologise in advance...Once your promotion is confirmed then id guess you'll get the ususal "come out the woodwork" merchants...but...most will be gone soon after.
Mate, Im not going to insult you and get banned, so I'll just say you havent quite got a grasp of it yet. im sure your 2 mods are looking for an excuse, so I'll be polite and say...No...i dont agree with you. My reasoning my not be the same as yours 7 therefore your usual posters and mods may run away crying. So, yes you have won the league 7 you may be the best team. But facts remain as SAf said.."the best team do not always win" if you cannot see that..ala Southampton V Man Utd, Man Utd v Juve, Wimbledon v Liverpool..(not sure how many more you need) THE BEST TEAM DO NOT ALWAYS WIN..FFS Foosse hit the nailon the head.."It is possible to win the league without being the best team...It is also possible t win it AND be...of course" One of your own..admitting what i said was right..that was QUOTE Just because you win the league, does not mean you are the best team" Anybody who has played ANY SPORT at at any level can see that...except Leicester supporters...apparently...
Show me a quote where SAF, Wenger or Jose have come out and said that the league winner was not the best team in the division that season...
Not sure aboout Queensland... I think you are located in Cloud Cuckoo Land ... Queenie - it is you who have made a number of loose analogies between your last promotion campaign and ours this season ... offering us tidbits of friendly advice and warning us about the perils of the unknown, shark infested waters of the big pool (should we get there) ... most of the responses you have had from our posters have merely pointed out that there are also lots of disimilarities between the two campaigns ... but when that happens you seem to take it very personally and get a bit hissy and girlie about it ... ... and the quotes above are all from the BBC match reports of games during this unbeaten run ... readily available, little work involved to paste them - took me the best part of eight minutes ... do their comments make me feel good? ... actually yes ... it's good to get a proper independent evaluation ... and when it's that glowing I think it demonstrates just how well we are doing. ... and guess what? ... I'd also add that right now, at this point in time, the best team really is winning ... ... if Burnley go on to win the league mind, you might just have a point for once
Jack.you seem like a decent intelligent bloke so Im not gonna get into it with you Facts are this If you have ever played any sort of sport you will know that the winners are not always the best..just he best on that day.otherise we may as well give man city the tophy now you'll win this league & that will make you the best over the season, but would you put that up against Burnley on a 1 off match...winners takes all? Best team is a vey subjective subject...think of ManUre winning the next season..does that make them better.? Good ;uck brother, just dont get to into this promo thing..its hard..(the promo thing!!)
Do you also have any negative posts of your team this season? if not rhen why not?" You are gonna o up (for possibly the 30th time) AND YET YOU STILL GET NARKY WITH A POSTER FROM ANOTHE CLUB THAT HAS NO CHANCE OF AFFECTING YOU. You are worried and tetchy need to reach out...dont you have a misus? maybe try the Brighton forum as i know they are short of.....NO..too easy!! Feel safe and secure that players, team & supporters from around England wil soon be coming to rape and pillage your town next season...Lock up your daughters...and your cows and sisters too..in fact anyone you have sex with that...... Cant be bothered ATM
Queenie - I rarely get narked ... I'm also one of the Leicester mods ... and can't see why you think that you might get banned???? ... your last paragraph is a little surreal but that may just be down to you having fantasies about Vikings or something ... as to negative comments we really haven't had that many tbh ... Billy Davies (Forest) "We just ran out of juice. We were disappointed with the goals we gave away, but this was against a side at the top of the table and a side that has developed well over the years." Sean Dyche (Burnley) "I thought the players were a bit naive to come here and expect Leicester to not be on the front foot from the off." Harry didn't actually offer a comment about us after we played you at yours (at least not in the BBC match report) - just commented that the ref was on Joey's case prior to sending him off ...
Got anyhting of any intrest that someone from your own club might have put up..or you living on others comments.? You are the best team over the season, without a doubt, just might find out next season that he best team counts for not much really...but im sure you know it all...as you keep telling us... Caznt wait for you to get promoted....for many reasons you willl never undertsand. Good luck sad feeling Fosse, thayt youmay be hung out to dry, as your other mods will be crucified very quickly... still im sure District and co await...good luck
Wow is this debate still "dragging on" guys Getting a little monotonous now. Maybe we can all agree to disagree lol. Who gives a monkeys to be honest. I think we are the best side, end of. Doesnt make me right or wrong or spark any need for a huge debate.
I'm not even sure there is a 'debate' ... rather just a collection of disparate comments and counterings scattered amongst the detritus of poorly constructed sentences ... illuminated intermittently perhaps by Queenie fantasising about Vikings ...
To paraphrase a quote I heard recently... Trying to have a sensible debate with Queenie is like attempting to play chess with a pigeon... Regardless of your intelligence, or if you are winning, it will just kick over all the pieces, **** all over the board, and fly off back to its flock to claim victory anyway...
Well done, Im sure that was from one of your more intelligent posters who obviously has time to play chess with pigeons... I thought it was all flat caps and whippets up your way ? but to be honest. Some of your posters can have a proper dfebate, others run away crying to mods or ask for mates from other teams to "help defend your board" (Macca is god).....Quite sad really Absolutely not representitive of th team you follow.
Well I do try to have a debate with you Queens, but you claim I don't get the point of what it is you're saying, then you use a large amount of words which don't really say anything at all. As for Macca Is God, we hardly went running to the Hull board for help. He posts here regularly, and we like him, because he can string a sentence together, and makes some good and interesting posts. Anyways Queenie, while today has been "fun", I can't help but notice you have caused me to break the golden rule that is my signature, so that's it from me today
Actually, if look at the stats for time spent in the top flight, QPR are 35th, making you a middling Championship level club. And a full ten spots behind Leicester, who are only just behind Burnley, Leeds, Forest, Stoke, West Ham and Birmingham. You either have a really poor grasp of British culture or you're really bad at put-downs. Or on some heavy medication.
