According to BBC Radio Solent Gobern is on his way to Huddersfield. Not suprised - he wouldn't feature much for Saints in the Championship.
Shame. Not too upset though, was never more than 4th choice, and not the sort of player suitable for a top-end Championship club. (looking ahead before I'm accused of arrogance) All the best Oscar, and thank you for the memories, especially this one:
Worst tackle ever. Surprised he's gone to Huddersfield, he wasn't good enough for us so why do they want him? I would have thought he'd go to somebody like Brentford.
No, I like Oscar. Thought hewas ok for us, would have liked to have seen him given more starts in League One but hope that he doesn't end up like one of other academy players playing in league two. Good Luck to him, hope he does well!
Shame, I thought he was a good player who was developing nicely for us I wish him well in his future career (except when he plays against us, when I want him to suffer)
I thought the Bournemouth players made a bit of a meal about an honest attempt to win the ball. They didn't like getting beat on their own patch and they took the opportunity to exploit a weak referee. That's my take on it anyway. As for Oscar himself, I think it's a shame he's going. Although he didn't pull up any trees in the games I saw him in, he's only 20 and in time may develop into a decent player. The problem for Oscar is, the Club wants success relatively quickly and he had to make his mark sooner rather than later. And I don't mean on the Bournemouth player's leg.
Shame, I thougt he was turning into a decent player under Adkins. He's obviously gone to play more football and I don't hold anything against him for that. Awful tackle that one against the Cherries and unfortunately that will be our standout memory of him.
Good young player but his first team chances are slimmer still now we have gone up. He needs to play to improve and ithink this would be a good move for him good luck to him
im surprised nobody has attributed this move with the fact that we need space in the squad for another cM, namely jack cork
It's a bit of a shame that he will probably be remembered mostly for his clumsy 'tackle' against Bournemouth when there is fairly decent potential there. Saying that though currently he isn't good enough for where we are now. Interestingly enough we did offer him a deal but he obviously wants to play games which is fair enough.
If it is true, it would be a shame. He's not a bad cover player, but if he want's first team football then fair play to the lad.
