No such place as Nottm - at least on my map.

Anyway who the **** cares about 2 SMALL midlands who would probably not survive in the Prem

  7. Until about three weeks ago, it was looking like a possibility of having three midlands clubs joining the prem next season but Forest have dropped away a bit now. they still have a chance of the playoffs but Burnley's run means Derby will probably be in the playoffs too. Leicester look like winning the league.

As for the Nottingham and Nottm thing. Its the same for Derby and Derbyshire. Writing a letter to someone in Derby , you put Derby. If its Derbyshire, it gets shortened to "Derbys". Much like Industrial is shortened to Ind. Street to St. Lane to Ln. Avenue to Ave. Abbreviations my friend. Abbreviations <ok>

Tut Tut! Abreviations should only be used when appropriate as in the example you gave. However it does not stand as a single word as you actually used it. Plus, if you were talking about Nottingham Forrest FC then the address would be Nottingham and the standard abbreviation for the county would be Notts.

    Hope you're wumming there Dave

Derby and Forest are not small clubs, like ourselves have proud histories (not won as much obv) and for championship clubs always get great attendances, especially Derby

I can assure you that they arent small clubs

You've been around longer than me to know

We should respect traditional clubs who've fell on bad times. It could so easily have happened to us until FSG came in

So, Wedgie's gone to the Great Picket Line in the Sky- I wonder if he'll spark the same outpouring of media grief that the Witch of Grantham did?

I remember when he renounced his title. He was always referred to as Anthony Wedgwood Benn and 'overnight' he became Tony Benn - it was strange.
