The football league have looked for additional documentation from GFH re takeover, GFH response is to try borrow a further 4m from Cellino. I have a hatred of gfh so I am biased, so maybe someone can explain this conundrum who is less biased in their opinions of them
Wealthy Arab wanted to buy Leeds Bates wouldn't sell to said buyer GFH bought with intention of selling majority straight to Wealthy buyer Wealthy buyer no longer wants us so leave GFH in the ****. Flowers/Parkin/Pearson bid 22million Haigh goes out to Cellino who offers 25million FA Reject Cellino and we are well and truly ****ed. Haigh looks the dick head but he has probably been let down massively
Can anyone enlighten me as to exactly what it is that the league want from GFH regarding Cellino's takeover ?
Spot on explanation but does not shed light on their current messing. Surely with a business they are so anxious to get rid of, they would move mountains to get the required paperwork to the fl rather than scrounging further loans to worsen the problem. That is of course assuming the loan is not required to cover unpaid bills like taxes that would prevent sale being ratified
Leeds fans are patiently waiting for news from the FL about the current takeover of the club. Finances are said to be in a sorry state and even rumours of possible admin have appeared in some threads. To clarify the current rules on admin : "From 2007â08, any club entering administration after the fourth Thursday in March would have their 10-point deduction suspended until the following season. If the club is relegated the points will be deducted from their tally at the start of next season. If the club stays up the 10 points will be taken off their final total " The 27th March deadline for this year is approaching and the implications are serious both for this year and next years season if the disaster of admin came to pass. The delay in coming to a decision about Cellino is worrying. Is there another solution if the T/O falls through?
Everyone seems very keen to make sure I know this. The news is of no concern to me I have his replacement nym on my ignore list of one. He didn't get banned because of anything he said to me. If you al Ignored him he would soon go away...
Can't say as I am ignoring him. Have you been taking ur Prozac if not I give it three weeks before you are Frothing at the mouth again,
Inconsistencies regarding the majority ownership of the club with respect to GFH and Mr. Salah Nooruddin.
Possibly, Jonny, but what the hell's that got to do with them? The process is to vet new owners, NOT to vet the sellers. I'm quite sure this doesn't happen with other clubs.
Jock, if you want to be in our league you have to follow our rules. If GFH did not follow their rules, this is the last opportunity for the FL to enforce their rules on the old ownership. I don't like it either but I think the blame lies with GFH not the FL. Perhaps other clubs have not done as many foolish things as ours seems to have done?
As gfh would own a percentage under the new regime, and maybe salad, aren't the fl entitled to vet them also?
Aren't they supposed to have done this already? Do they review everyone every time a share is sold? Where is the line drawn. Btw, Salad's sold out, hasn't he? Although somehow he's still Chairman!
There you go Jock. You've just pointed out an inconsistency or lie in gfh statements that surely merits investigation. I've always been very suspicious of the manner they were selling or moving around chunks of ownership between parties that seemed connected
I wouldn't be surprised if the problem is more with GFH than Cellino, all these new investors and part owners, should GFH have informed the FL abaout Salem and if so did they? Surely there are also rules in place explaining and informing the FL of where these loans keep coming from??
So if the the league have a problem with GFH, where does that leave Cellino ? Surely if GFH fail the test then the FL would want them out sharpish ?
