    Morning Everybody,

How the devil are we today?

Damn foggy in Southampton today, bet its bloody sunny in Bardsley though

McDermott has told the YEP that he is the best man for the job, that he is a fighter, and he we get us i the Prem.

Thank goodness for that, what a sigh of relief....

McDermott said “Looking at that scoreboard (when Leeds trailed 4-0 against Reading on Tuesday) is horrible. But it makes me stronger and it makes me want to do this more.

“I honestly believe I’m the man to do the job at this club. It’s been proven in the past. I’ve done it in this league, I’ve got out of this league. If I had no track record then you’d sit here and say ‘this guy can’t do it.’ But you know I can because it’s been done in the past.”

“When I turned up here I said that there were three words I would use (about Leeds) - hope, expectation and then disappointment. We’re now in the disappointment stage. That’s the cycle I’m trying to break and get out of, to move this club forward.”

I sincerely hope McDermott can get the dressing room back on side, and that it is not too late for him.

Seems like the Football League meeting to discuss the takeover could not really have gone any better. Reading between the lines, if Cellino can get of the Yacht tax dodge, the football League will approve him.

They also more or less promised they would have an official decision within ten days.

Morning Elland and all. Agreed on court case. Looks very promising, fingers crossed for Tuesday. Hard to predict how these foreign courts act though. As for McDermott, he's becoming irritating with the same old story. Mentioned in stilling a winning mentality. After winning two from last eighteen, I wouldn't hold out any hope of that. All a bit irrelevant anyway. If Cellinos in next week, McD will meet him in a revolving door on way out

Agreed. Had he stayed sacked that fateful Friday, our performances afterwards could not have been worse. Imagine the reaction if red fern was in charge since and the Bolton reading results had happened. There would have been a section of fans saying McD would have got it right, could still have got into playoffs and Cellino knew nothing of English football

    Morning Eire,

What I hate are those that talk a good job but cant put it into practice!!! A few weeks ago McDermott was telling us about his 'all out attack' and reading between the lines to expect goals galore.

Didn't expect the goals to be coming in the opposite direction...

Elland good morning from a very sunny BARDSEY If the football league can pass Bates anyone should past the test .Has anyone failed ever .Its damaged limitations now for us so the pressure to get 6 is over 'I think the way QPR are playing they well might have to fight 6 spot with Reading my 3 for promotion are Leicester Burnley and Wigan!

I agree and I guess a little unfair for me to say LUCKY when I didn't see all the games.

Judging by what Kebe and Hunt have shown for us they must have just had one of those one off seasons at reading where it all came together for McDermott

Like I said before, I used to think he was too nice to sack, now I just feel he is full of hot air and BS excuses

Morning all ... a manager is only as good as his players, and honestly the squad McD inherited is rubbish ... I have always said he needs to be given time, and people calling for his head are being very foolish ... people who all season have said this team is mid table at best, yet now want an excellent manager sacked because we're, well, mid table!! Oh come on, stop moaning and be a bit more supportive ... McD is still the right manager, lets see how he does with financial support .... oh, and at least this manager doesn't make excuses or blame Tom Lees for everything

Whilst i've always been a big fan of McDermott and in the give him time camp I dont want to see him here next season.

His signings have on the whole been poor (Smith the exception IMO) his tactics are non exsistant, he struggles to influence the game with his subs. Now with backing he could do a better job, granted everyone could with more money. But he is still missing too much from his locker to be a success at Elland Road. I hope i'm wrong because you couldnt ask for a nicer guy, which could also be part of the problem. I'd have lost it with the lot of our so called proffesional players for jepodising my job week after week instead of looking forward to the next match. Lets go back to the diamond and start playing the simple ball again rather than sending it long. We had some success with that. That being said, we may need to pack the midfield to keep the Burnley game from reaching a cricket score!

The only regular starter that McDermott has bought in is Murphy, and he has not set the world alight. Zeliukas, Hunt, Smith, Wooton, Kebe, Stewart, none of em start regularly. McDermott preferes to use Warnocks players.

If Warnocks players are better then his, maybe we should bring Warnock back?
