The way i am looking at are progress at the moment. i believe that we will make the plays off but will not win. we are still doing well and we have a fairly easy run in compared to the teams around us. But we have only beaten derby this year from all the teams around us. they have all seemed to have beaten us.
i dont think that this is such a bad thing. it will finally give us a chance to build on a reasonable steady team. Which is what we have been missing for the last two seasons.

The players i would like to keep to build our team around are

    ----------------------------------Green-----------------------------

    Simpson -----------Ned ------------------------------------------

    Phillips --------------Faurlin -----Barton--------------Traore

    ------------------------------Austin---------------------------------
Looking at this team even if we go up we could base a team round this. We would just need to get a bit more Experience in.

I would love Hill to be around but i just cant see how he helps the club going forward. Niko and Jenas would be handy as well. i would love to see a few of the EDS squad have a go to. So we don't need much a good centre and left back. and a couple of strikers.

So who of the players i have named will be sticking around and and how many of the squad can we let go or sell and which of the loan players can we sell.

Does any one agree with this.

There should be plenty in the kitty to do what i think we should do at least three times over.

I would keep Hill - you need players like that to get out of the Championship

With Hitchcock, Petrasso, Mo Shariff, Harriman, Ehmer and Sutherland,(when fit), we have the youth element for building the team. Add in your options and I think we would then be in a better place to go up and stay up.

Quite a few I would imagine.
Johnson, Zamora, mbia, hill, dunne, green(not sure but keep), swp (I hope), traore, murphy,
    loams out,
Yossi, nico carroll, bae, hughes, maiga, keane, doyle, dellatori (brazil geezer),

that's a lot of players gone & now in the summer is time to rebuild with a bit of youth.

I am beginning to except that we are going to be involved in the play-offs, but will not win. Wigan is almost as certain to go up as Leicester.
A new start next season, new manager and a lot of deadwood leaving.
We have a number of players to build from: Green, Ned, Simpson, Donaldson, (Hill), Barton, Phillips, Charlie, Dellattore and all the youngsters.
    A bright future!

Can I ask what the point was of getting Dellatorre in on loan when he was already injured and unlikely to be available ??

Or am I missing something ?

I think Broomfield, who has now been poached back by Spurs before he arrived at Arsenal, got Dellatorre in, to have a look at him, but H won't play him. He also got Yun and Donaldson in, equally don't get played.

That team in the OP only has 2 players under 25, we don't need more experience, we need skill, pace, commitment and audacity. Then we might be watching QPR.

I'd keep jenas and maybe even Dunne in a coaching capacity.

Either Hill or Dunne can be cover (ala Ryan Nelson).

A Cb like Huth, Dawson or shawcross would be a great addition.
Not sure about LB. BAE is such a talent but another suffering from "Adel desease"...waste of a good defender.

Not sure of many of those out of the teams dropping down.

what makes anyone think the likes of Hitchcock and Harriman will play for us? if Harry's in charge they'll be farmed out on loan or released just like this season.

Finglas mentioned the other day that he was on a flight recently with one of the QPR physio's who mentioned that Dunne has been carrying an injury for the last few months and shouldn't be playing. Apparently he will retire completely at the end of the year.

. I get the feeling Harry has been told only to buy players who are young and cheap. If not get in loans. That's why no Rhodes. Did not tick all the boxs. Why have we not got cover for dunne. You would have thought that we would have been playing ned in the centre and got that lad we got from Scotland in at right back.

All these centre backs will all get games in the premiership. Why come to us. We need to look at the championship.
