Very nice Miggins... I think you better stop looking in the mirror...seems like every time you do you see the Cnut! Look away please.
Nothing wrong with your question, it is valid as we have not seen Vettel in a non competitive car under Newey or have we seen him in a team that makes countless number of pit mistakes or poor strategy calls as some drivers who are his equal or better has had to put up with, and I for one believe if things do get rough for Vettel he would throw fits, I could be wrong but I doubt it. Take no notice of the insulting Vettel fanboys who wants to set parameters when making comments on their idol who in his years at Red Bull has not had a top driver as a teammate to judge how good he really is.
No kidding. There's been a lot of jumping to conclusions since pre season. Let's see where we stand in 5 - 6 races.
Remember mercedes were running so many laps in testing? One of their cars didn't even complete a lap in fp1, so don't be sure yet. I am happy that Red Bulls were able to get in their laps and push the cars. Hope it continues so we can have an exciting season.
Well nobody has anything like bullet proof reliability of course so anyone can have a total failure at any time, but at least Red Bull have shown they have taken massive strides in the right direction. We will see what race reliability is like of course but there was nothing in their performance this morning that showed the car was as hopeless as this thread suggests. Given how little testing they had managed to complete it is remarkable how competitive the car was looking despite not having had the time that others have had for development. That's ominous. Or a relief, depending on your point of view.
Well if RBR do end up the class of the field I expect Ricciardo to give Vettel more of a run for his money on track than Webber ever did. I think the best outcome would be if they have the aero and someone else (ferrari/Merc?mcL) has the engine
you mean like the aero advantage Red Bull had last year? which they've attempted to completely eliminate with the rule changes for this year.
Some RBR fans are among the absolute most miserable F1 fans. 4 seasons of incredible success and there's still reason to boo hoo. The regs weren't changed to scupper RBR... They've been in the works for quite some time, RBR have the same development time as any other team and they have a Newey who'll no doubt develop the best car. Sheesh.
lol at a Hamilton fan accusing others of complaining, maybe some people just read into things more than others; as i see the non-stop complaining about the Red Bull the last couple years, being shamelessly replaced with nothing but praise for Mercedes upcoming period of exactly the same thing.
But you are complaining.... In just about every post. You should have more faith in RBR. Anyway... where's all this praise for Mercedes and the evidence of upcoming period of their dominance? We haven't even had a race and these cars are going to be around for a long time. Newey will get on top of the issues and RBR will be at the sharp end again, hopefully with a bunch of other teams that can compete with them... at least for a while. One more thing... It wasn't Vettel or RBR that made last season so dull. It was the stupid tyres, ridiculous overtaking rules, stupid overtaking gimmicks that remove any skill in the art of overtaking/blocking and a lack of racing from the top to the bottom of the grid. There will usually be a dominant team, but everything else we were left with was utter tosh.
I really couldn't care less about Red Bull, all i know is my favourite drivers had a vague chance at being at the top of the podium the last couple years, and they did occasionally, despite the RBs supposed huge advantage. It looks like there's like no chance of that whatsoever now, and i wouldn't be at all surprised to see no effort made to "mix the field" up for years once Hamilton gets where he wants to be.
Aaaaaaaah. so that's your gripe. You're worried that Hamilton might win some races.... Well, he might win some here and there, but we all see drivers win races that we don't like. Witnessing Piquet win races made me want to spit feathers, but there's not a lot you can do about that. But believe me, considering Hamilton is about as popular as a wart on the arse around the world... Bernie won't manufacture a Hamilton empire. So anyway, what both you and I want is actually the same... A competitive field with some good competition. Not much to ask, hey? So who is your team/teams/drivers?
I really thought bamalamaFizzVaj would be happy to see all the top drivers scrapping it out with fantastic overtaking, intelligent tactics without giving a quarter right up to the finish line. Then let the cops fall where they may at the end of the season for the championships. That is what I want to see.. That is my idea of great racing. I hope that is what we will see this year. Everybody has a favorite or favorites whether they want to admit it or not. So there is no shame in admitting it.
