After two very good signings. I hope we carry it on, but like you I have hardly heard of this guy. Really want Pats to get Mack. Do you guys think Wilfork will go? Bitching about Pats wanting to lower hus contract isn't good.
Nah I highly doubt Patriots can afford Mack, especially after the Revis deal. No idea if Wilfork will go or not, if you're looking at Guion then I'd not be surprised.
I thought the same about Mack, but we have cut a hell of a lot of people. Haven't a clue how much cap space we have now. I think it was $12m before the cuts.
Apparently you're on about 10m left in cap space. That's definitely not enough for a Wilfork replacement and Mack. Can see Mack going a few places but NE isn't one of them
Guion is alright, nothing special. Would be surprised if he was being targeted as a starter, more of a rotation/backup guy. Am I right in thinking that you need about $10 mil in cap room for the draft? On a Vikings note a lot of people seem to think they have done well in FA, which I guess is a good sign. Signed Joseph, Munnerlyn and Cox as the bigger signings. Cox was apparently the top ranked corner going into FA last year, went to the Chargers and was ****ing awful and Vikes have taken a bit of a chance on him. Hopefully it works out. Not sure why they haven't gone for a linebacker apart from bringing Jasper Brinkley back who was terrible in his first stint with them.
I think we have more then $10m tbh, the amount of people let go/ contracts reduced was crazy this year. I think Pats have enough for a WR and TE and if Wilfork leaves we will have to get a DT.
Costa seems to be only a depth signing. Hopefully, anyway. Mack is a strange situation because a lot of teams don't want to spend elite money on a center especially with the Browns putting the transition tag on him, makes everything far more complicated. It's nothing like most FA deals so I can't be too critical of them for not going for him yet. De La Puente would be different because that's an orthodox deal so we might as well try it.
