Happened to me recently- old age just creeps up on you doesn't it?
Anyway, I think my member has always held seniority over the rest of me.

    Dave.
    I agree.
Liverpool are carrying momentum. They are the ones that know that they have to improve and are going to sign players to ensure they improve.Liverpool need an injection of real flair. They can push themselves up the table and cause a lot of damage to the top four.I'm not saying they can be champions, but they won't be aiming for just top four either.
As you said the others are just intent on consolidating their positions...which in itself is a massive risk.If Man United sign that central midfielder that they obviously need and it doesn't take a rocket scientist to work out. They do need one because Barcelona exposed the lack of quality they have there, then I reckon they are deserved favourites for the title. If they don't,they can be knocked off.
Chelsea need a few things. They need a central midfielder to play to Torres strengths and they also need to sell Drogba.Torres has to be their main man if they are to succeed.
Arsenal.I'm still convinced that Arsenal are like a blonde with big tits.Great to look at,but very little after that. They need steel, they need 3 players that are nasty. If they don't sign them..then its no title.
Man City will remain in the top four, but they will not win the title whilst they are managed by Mancini. They will win more games than they will lose, but they won't be champions.
Spurs are no longer a threat,When as expected they sell Modric, they won't offer anything other than a threat to the top 6.They are like Liverpool in the 90s.Great going forward, but aren't either disciplined or strong enough to cause havoc at the top,as they don't have a defence worth mentioning and their keeper situation is worse than Arsenals.

They still claim we didn't.However my recollections are the Lucas and Gerrard mauled them by not doing anything. That left the space for Kuyt,Mereiles and Suarez to run riot.

Liverpool's 1st XI needs plenty of work.

Their 2nd XI is pathetic in comparison with last Season's Top 3

Nowhere near League Champions, and a great distance to go before a return to 4th can be seriously considered imo

That can be sorted. However Merc Citys problems can't be solved as easily. The only way to solve Citys problems would be to sack Mancini and appoint a good manager.

I would have agreed with you about Mancini last year, I thought he was just another Benitez, simply too negative to win the League in England, but he had them playing some very good football after Christmas, and he achieved what was asked of him.

I think they might find the combination of Champions League/Premier League tricky, as did Spurs, but they will have the Squad to cope.

If they prioritise the Prem, they could win it, no doubt about it.

They won a trophy and finished 3rd which is perfectly reasonable. Find it annoying how they buy all these exciting players and play negative football though.

Now for a lot of teams finishing third and winning the FA Cup would be an achievement. However it isn't when you've outspent the entire league twice over.
Man City have the squad to win the league with the exception of Balotelli,Dzeko and Lescott who are all useless. They don't have the manager.Until they sack Mancini and appoint a good manager, they won't finish any higher.

I have to disagree. I think there will be less quality difference between the top 6 teams and all will take points from each other. I also think that the promoted teams will prove to be stronger than the 3 relegated. I think 80-85 points will win with 70 enough to take 4th
