Heck, this is our third season of trying to rebuild the team. I have no concerns with development taking time, so long as I see development. As it is, I see mistakes being repeated and a squad with too many half hearted players in it for a final pay cheque.
Cant argue with that, exactly as I see it. And no sign of any intelligence in our play and tactics. The same issues week after week.
After a tough week at work, I'm just looking forward to Yeovil on Saturday. I've taken sb_73's approach and I'm going to enjoy the ride. Looking forward to a pint in the Coningham served by my favourite barmaid and shouting 'tell them Joey, tell them'. That'll do for me!
I can't see how we can put the last two years of mistakes behind us until the Summer and horrendous contracts start to expire. Only then can the rebuild start. Only then can the Board show they have learnt from their errors.
For that to happen, we clearly have to have a new manager or we be lumbered with awful players for the next 3 years. Fernandes will lose my backing if he keeps redknapp. We will be in a far, far worse position thant when T and C left, in a lower division, with a much worse manager and in a ****load more debt.
Disagree...I see improvement...buying Phillips, Simpson and Austin....Rekindling of Traore and Barton...not bad for season 1
Definitely been some improvements but still a fair way to go, having so many loan players & not strengthening (with quality not numbers) in the January transfer window are clear mistakes.
19 players in this year is a joke. plus how many did we bring in that aren't going to get games. we have the foundations of a great team. lets just hope who ever is in charge come June can sit down with tony work out what is missing and bring in some young hunger talent to fill the gaps.
Honestly I am with Beth here The team is showing real class at times playing good football even I have thanked Harold for that There is simply no point continually pointing at players ... That's the modern footballer in the UK today You want the same passion in players that us the fans feel... There has always been a gulf between the two things ... Players get paid a lot because they are gods today We have a brilliant squad Yes all of us would love a local home grown team but those days are gone The game today is all about patience and control ... We lack goals and wins and boil that down that's we hat makes us happy Make a list of all the players that you have all dissed to see where the real answer is ... Inside yourself Look at Jensas slagged by most yet that lad does care very much and is a brilliant player Lately its BAE who now represents the loan player thing ... Again he is outstanding TF is right 100% get behind the team win or lose QPR has the ways and means to at least have a go at improving our position in UK football ... Sod the money it isn't yours and you signed up for the ride ... SB73 knows this as he has the minerals Enjoying it means not being ruled by fear or the automatic hatred of individuals that wear the hoops We are in the mix because of money but there is no guarantees in this game I am disappointed but each week each season it starts over for me I love it The mistakes and successes are plonked firmly on the man who manages the team ... Only when it's over can we really judge anything
I tend to agree with the full range of views (from DT to Flyer) depending on my mood. Ultimately, we're pot committed for the season so I'm pensively waiting to see how it pans out. Whatever the outcome, we need to buy well this Summer with an eye on the next 5 years and keep the players that will help us move forwards (both on and off the pitch).
Yeah, I've lost all sense of perspective with Redknapp, thanks for reminding me that there is another more relaxed way Sku! I will try my best to follow it.... I'm not on Twatter so I don't know the other side of this exchange, but looks like he's responding to criticism of Harold. I live in hope that its a done deal that Redknapp goes in the Summer, and TF doesn't see the value of stirring things up now. He doesn't say Redknapp will take us on this long haul journey.......
Good post. The mood in the dressing room is many times better than it was last year, so that's progress. More needed, and contracts are expiring, so if we don't get promotion this year, we need young, skilled and enthusiastic players in over the summer. Not sure Harry is the man to identify these
I think that TF initially went for the promotion at all costs appraoch this season and Harolds loanees reflect this but it hasn't gone to plan so he appears to be taking a different approach now...... Hopefully the "plan" is to be ready for the PL by the time the new stadium comes on stream which would give the club 4 to 5 years to stabilise and build a team capable of maintaining the PL status and then push on.....Harold is not the person for this roll and I believe he will go in the summer, he is not and never has been QPR. If the new manager builds the team around the likes of Green, Ned, Simpson, Yun, Barton, Faurlin, Phillips, Austin and intergrates those considered good enough from the EDS squad Hitchcock, Ehmer, Harriman, Petrasse, Brazilian lad, probably a few others that i can't think off, then makes some shrewd signings then that is a squad that should be good enough to deliver with the right mix of youth and experience......
