A Football League spokesman said: "At its meeting today, the Board of The Football League gave detailed consideration to the proposed takeover of Leeds United by Eleonora Sport Limited.

"The Board discussed the eligibility of the proposed purchasers under the Owners' and Directors' Test and examined evidence of both the source and sufficiency of funding. The majority of outstanding issues have now been resolved to The League's satisfaction and the Board anticipates receiving further information on the remaining issues, from the representatives of Eleonora, in the next week.

"The Board recognises the pressing need to resolve the matter and to provide certainty to all parties. It therefore anticipates being able to reach a conclusion in the next ten days."

Looking good but clearly final hold up is next weeks court case as expected. Still at least it'll be sorted in time for Millwall clash

That's it in a nutshell glory. Wonder could someone find that damn boat and burn the fecking thing. Then there would be no evidence. That's the way we'd do it over here

Pay the effing tax, cut out the court case, and then take on a civil case to claim his money back. He can afford to lose the £300k (he's gonna lose a lot more with LUFC before he turns a profit), and we'tre used to our chairmen owners having court cases

Not rocket science, is it? And to him it's loose change. And if he really has a case, take a civil case to get money back.

The italian legal system is more bent than a Ken Bates takeover.
